The receptionist, Francis, was very welcoming and helpful. He had showed me a few room options and I chose a lovely double room with ensuite, the room was clean and smelled lovely ( like strawberries ), very impressive for the price. The bed is good enough not the comfiest however. The bathroom is very clean and looks great. Fabulous hotel for the price will recommend to friends and will definitely stay here again. Thanks again to Francis for the exceptional service!.

The hotel is in a great location  ..room was spacious nice and clean over looking the  garden and with a sea view ...will  book again with this hotel if I take another trip to beautiful Brighton

Lovely hotel

We arrived on Monday June 6, 2022 and had a wonderful stay. Amit helped us with all we needed (including lending me his personal iPhone charging cord) and our stay was perfect. 
The bed was super comfortable and the hotel is quite clean, well situated and I felt very safe. 
I would highly recommend it.

Excellent hotel and Amit was Amazing

We spent a weekend recently at the Strawberry Fields and couldn't have been happier. Reception desk is very friendly, the room was very clean and spacious and the view of the beach was perfect. Loved the decor! Will come back :)

Loved it!

A very good hotel. It’s a bit tired but the price reflected this. The rooms are nice, location is fantastic and the staff are lovely and helpful. It can be a bit noisy with people going up and down the stairs but I’m happy to put up with that. I will definitely stay here next time I visit Brighton.

Really nice accommodation

We stayed for 1 night and would happily book here again! 
Firstly,  I did my research and saw from each room description that some had shared toilet facilities which my husband and I didn't want so we deliberately booked a room with an ensuite bathroom (anyone complaining about shared facilities should read before they book!). Our room was clean and exactly what we expected for such a cheap price! The furniture and carpet were old, but the bed was made beautifully &  the bathroom was clean and there was a kettle with coffee etc which was perfect. Other reviews complain about no parking included, again this is explained on the website so again, we did our research beforehand and knew our options.  We managed to park right outside the hotel from 4pm until 9am for about £9.40...a bargain for Brighton!! (There is also parking at a underground car park nearby and at Buzz Bingo about a 10 min walk away). The location was perfect, a 10-20 min walk into the centre depending on where you're trying to get to. 
And finally the staff...the check in guy was smiling, polite, chatty, funny & helpful and the night porter was polite & helpful (I would never mark anyone down for not smiling at 1am 😄). We unfortunately lost our phone and they couldn't have been any more helpful,  we really appreciated the effort they made to try and help us. All in all we would very happily recommend this place and stay again.  Thank you if you read this! 

Would stay again! 

Strawberry Fields is a lovely guesthouse to stay in right on the seafront. We stayed for three nights last week and we had a lovely sea view. The only downside would be that there is no fridge in the room, I would strongly recommend putting fridges in the rooms, so that guests can purchase drinks to consume of an evening / in the morning that aren't room temperature. Apart from this, we had no complaints and loved our stay!

Couples Getaway

Booked a last minute trip to Brighton and decided after several searches to book the Strawberry Fields and I’m glad I did. 

Location is ideal for the sea front and Central Pier, and for what Brighton has to offer.  It is about a 20 minutes walk from the station and a short walk from several restaurants and bars in Kemptown. 

On arrival we rang the door bell and were quickly checked in and given the key to our room. 

I booked a twin room and was given room 13 which was up a few flights of stairs. Room was bright and airy and spotlessly clean. amenities in the room included Tea&Coffee and small glasses for water. 

Bathroom in this room was clean and functional but old fashioned. the shower and flooring itself looked in need of replacing. However the water pressure was fine and water was hot. 

I would definitely recommend and stay here again the next time I visit Brighton.

Excellent B&B in ideal location

I booked this as a last minute get away for me and my son, we had a twin room with en suite and it served its purpose perfectly. It was nice and clean, the staff were very helpful. The bed were a little uncomfortable so could do with refreshing but a very pleasant stay and we would go again.

The room seemed like it had been renovated in the 80’s and kept clean since.
Check in at 4 seemed strange or pay an extra £25.
The room was clean but tired.
Street lights really lit up the room throughout the night through the partially broken shutters.
The double bed was two singles pushed together with a big uncomfortable ridge in the middle.
The shower was warm but the head was semi blocked.
The radiator turned on early evening as the room was freezing.
It wouldn’t turn on in the morning, the room was freezing.
For £85 it was ok but won’t be visiting again. There’s a far superior one just a few doors up.
