We arrived for a late lunch on Saturday afternoon. The barman was very friendly and the food was tasty. It was standard pub fare with lots of choice. I had pie, chips and veg. My partner had fish & chips which came with an impressive homemade tartare sauce. A roaring fire and friendly locals added to the atmosphere. 

We'll happily stop by again.

Great food - will happily come back

Stayed here for two nights with friends while visiting Bollington. The pub had a wonderful relaxed feel and Dave the landlord was a real gentleman, and excellent host. My party were made to feel incredibly welcome, and we found ourselves part of the fold of regulars in no time. Breakfast was served at a time to suit us and was delicious. A well-stocked bar with well-kept ales. Well-positioned for exploring the local area and very much in the heart of Bollington’s nightlife Dave and his team delivered a great experience and a memorable stay.

Weekend visit with friends. Great!

If you want a fancy gastro pub, with fancy gastro prices, don’t come here.
If you want a proper locals pub with friendly service, and great plain food with generous portions give Church House inn a visit.
We called today for lunch and were very impressed. 
My wide had fish and chips and I had steak and Stilton pie, both served with delicious home made chips, and in my case fresh vegetables, how they managed to get some much steak in the large pie I don’t know.
The desert menu had some great items including syrup sponge, jam roly pudding and apple crumble, but we were just too full to try them.
We were served by the cheerful and lovely Holly, and all in all really enjoyed our visit, with a very reasonable bill.

Great pub

 We went to church house inn yesterday 24th May 
And what a lovely surprise,the pub is spotless clean inclusive the beer garden,the food we had fish and chips was very good and nice presented,staff excellent,only can recommend the place very friendly and welcoming 

Through recommendation 

First time visiting, decided last minute we couldn't be bothered cooking so booked a table and so glad we did! The staff were super friendly, great atmosphere and the food was absolutely incredible!! 4 very happy customers who wouldn't hesitate to come again and recommend!!

What a find!!

Was made very welcome as soon as I walked through the door. The owner/manager had me registered almost before I could put by bag down. He took me to my room, which was very pleasant and had everything that was required. He then gave me the keys for my room and the Inn entry. 
I asked if I could reserve a table for an evening me and this he did as soon as he left me to unpack things.
The meal was excellent  and was served by a an extremely pleasant young woman who took care of our needs.
Breakfast in the morning was served yet again by a pleasant and helpful lady.
My stay there was a very pleasant experience.


Reunion

Living in Bollington I don’t venture out as much as the average Bollington folk.I have experienced some pubs staff being anti-social.However I visited with some friends the other day and sat down outside with my dog and enjoyed a beautifully pulled pint of Wainwrights.Although I sat outside the attentive staff were always coming out and having a casual conversation.The young lady working behind the bar  was a very funny blonde . Definitely would visit again !

Absolute Hidden Gem

Friendly and attentive service from bar staff and waitress.

Good beer, although maybe a couple more draught ales would be good ?

A good choice of food -- I recommend the lamb pie which was crammed full of meat.

A great place to meet friends for a drink and meal.

Reasonable value for money.

I can't comment on the rooms as we just dropped in for food and beer.

Great Pub

Went for lunch on Sunday with family, first visit to the church house for food. Welcomed immediately by Frank the black labrador on entry. Bar staff very polite and friendly, easy comfortable atmosphere and surroundings. Cask ale included Jennings Cumberland that was perfectly acceptable. Being Sunday a choice of roasts from pork, lamb or chicken that were served with plenty of vegetables and Yorkshire pudding.  Very nice pub lunch at good value, I will definitely go back. I'm not going to be picky on the food review taking the value into consideration as that would be an unfair comparison, everyone enjoyed it and at £15/head with drinks you can't argue.

Friendly service and atmosphere

Met up with a few friends for a pint. This is a friendly pub with a good local clientele, not that they don’t like occasional visitors. 
The beer is well kept and, whilst we didn’t eat on this visit, the food is better than standard pub grub
