We were so very fortunate there was a cancellation just before we arrived. Easter weekend, no less. Can't say enough good things about this wonderful hotel. Everyone treated us with enthusiasm and kindness. Great pub and very nice quiet separate restaurant.! Everyone seemed to be having a good time. We wanted to stay longer but we had to head out to Northern England. Highly recommend.

Incredible lucky find!

A cosy bar, good food and a comfortable room - very welcome at the end of a soggy day touring Eryri. Beddgelert is a good base within easy reach of Caernarfon, Snowdon and Betws y Coed and the Saracen's Head is a great place to refresh and recharge. The staff are lovely. Happily recommend

A great base for touring Eryri/Snowdonia

I recently stayed here with my dad and sister and we had the most fabulous time. The staff were so accommodating and attentive. Elin was an absolute delight and went out of her way to ensure we were happy. The breakfasts were tasty and set us up for the day. I am desperate to bring my husband and two girls to visit. Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome.

We had a lovely stay with our dog ,lovely hotel lovely staff and lovely food ,breakfast was amazing ,the room was very cozy and toasty warm .the hotel is right in the middle of the village with loads of lovely walks,cycling etc we will most definitely be going back

Lovely stay

Beautiful decor, friendly staff and lovely food. Super dog friendly - treats, water and even a doggy food  menu! Lovely log fire and comfy surroundings. The food was generous and well cooked. Hoping to return before we leave! The gentleman that hosted us was great - attentive and lively with our two spaniels.

My wife and I met up with a large group of friends at the Saracens Head last weekend and we were amazed at the transformation that Sheryl and her team have made to the hotel. 
The bedroom was large and superbly appointed with a luxurious en suite.  The cooked breakfast was delicious and just what we needed before a day on the fells. There was a great selection of interesting bar food on the Friday evening and our formal dinner on the Saturday was superb.
What particularly stood out for us was the very friendly atmosphere of the hotel; nothing was too much trouble.

Superb Weekend at The Saracens Head

Traveled up to n wales as part of an expeditions club which had booked the hotel for a weekend and dinner. 
The hotel was fully booked by the club before I could bag a room so sadly missed the opportunity to stay there.
But had a wonderful evening last night as the hotel laid on a fabulous dinner for us all - some twenty plus people.
Food was excellent- especially the meaty lamb cutlets!
Staff were all delightful and looked after us superbly.
The new manager Cheryl was simply brilliant and made us all feel so at home.
The hotel has had a recent interior makeover so looks great. 
I joined the group for breakfast this morning and enjoyed an enormous full English (despite being a Welshman!!). I gathered the sausages come from a top English butcher, and they were worthy of the trip!
We were looking for a new venue for our annual dinner weekend; and we were delighted to have found it.
Look forward to being back next year.

A welcome in the hillsides!

Had a lovely 1 night stay at the Saracens Head. I rang 2 days before to book the room and Sheryl was very helpful and booked us in the Superior King Room (2), this was a lovely room with nice little touches and robes to use if needed. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We had drinks there in the afternoon, then had food & drinks later that evening. All the food was lovely, and even though they were really busy, we didn't wait long. The owners were really friendly and accommodating (they've only been there 9 weeks). We will definitely be staying again.

Wonderful

2nd visit to The Saracens Head, it is truly beautiful. 
The Manageress Cheryl is brilliant and she is certainly dedicated and passionate about giving her guests the best experience. 
We was greeted with a smile, shown to our room (11) which was absolutely beautiful, overlooking the river and a view to the mountains, so peaceful we never want to leave. The rooms are spotlessly clean and have everything you need including robes and little complementary toiletries which makes for a comfortable experience.
The staff are smiley, and although very busy will make time for a chat and are helpful with suggestions for local walks and places to visit.
We all enjoyed a hearty dinner and there was a great evening atmosphere.
Breakfast again was fabulous, we was offered a full selection from continental to a full English which we had and it was cooked to perfection! Compliments to the chef (I think it was Kirsty?) and Lesley who served us who again was brilliant.
We decided after checking out and enjoying one of the lovely walks Cheryl recommended to us, to go back for a Sunday Roast before heading home! Again didn’t disappoint

To Cheryl and her team, keep doing what your doing because your dedication and passion shines through and is a credit to you all!

Faultless!!! 

I cannot rave about this hotel enough, in our short weekend away we have had a fab time! The hotel staff our fabulous and cater to your every need, if you have a dog then this is the place too stay! They are treated like royalty 😍 the food is delicious also! Liz who serves breakfast in the mornings is fabulous! What a kind woman, she a credit to the hotel! Can't wait to come back next year for a week with our golden retriever! 😍😍
