We stayed at the Westerton bed and breakfast in Callander. Both Lesley & Mike made us so welcome. Adhering to government guidelines but still homely and with a stately home feel to it. We stayed in the blue room overlooking the beautifully kept garden. A large room and large en-suite. Finishing touches were top quality. Breakfast was gorgeous, home made yogurt and lovely fresh fruit. Cooked breakfast also beautifully presented and so tasty. 
Everything was spotless and the couple are so very welcoming and would do anything for you.

Excellent stay

We stayed at this lovely b&b in October, from the time we initially arrived to the time of departure the hospitality afforded was second to none. The actual house is situated in a lovely setting with views over the scenic garden to the river Leny at the end of the garden. The hosts Lesley and Mike are a fantastic couple where nothing was too much trouble, also they were most helpful in every aspect. The room we stayed in was the Blue Room with tea and coffee facilities, a really comfortable bed, an en-suite bathroom and with spectacular views of the garden with feathered visitors to the mountains in the background. Then the actual breakfast... wow! It really was a most welcoming start to the day with a good selection of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts but the cooked breakfasts were awesome, nice fluffy scrambled eggs plus locally sourced delicious bacon and sausages. To sum up we feel it would be very difficult to find a better b&b than The Westerton

A truly excellent b&b

We had a lovely long weekend at the Westerton, our room “the gold room “ was amazing, spotlessly clean, amazing views of the gardens and everything we needed for our stay, the breakfast was spot on and Mike and Leslie where absolutely brilliant, very friendly and informative about the area. We would highly recommend the Westerton and would definitely return.

Our stay at Westerton Bed and Breakfast was amazing!  There are only 3 guest rooms at Westerton, and our hosts, Mike and Leslie, treated us like honored guests. They have literally thought of everything, and every room is a masterpiece. Leslie's breakfasts were delicious and generous. The garden was beautiful, even at the end of the season. Mike and Leslie gave us great advice about good hiking/walking, places to eat, and ways to get to know the area. And... they made dinner reservations, printed out hiking itineraries, and even our boarding passes. We enjoyed every  dimension of our stay at the Westerton.  It is a gem and should not be missed!

Beautiful and perfect B&B

After being showed to our bedroom, coffee was served to us in the lovely lounge/breakfast room. Our bed was very comfy and we enjoyed a peaceful sleep. Breakfast was amazing and we sat in the large bay window with a view of the garden. The location was excellent being quiet and just a short walk into town. The Trossach area is very scenic and we enjoyed a loch cruise on Loch Katrine and forest walks. Our hosts were delightful and very attentive, we felt pampered and it was hard to say goodbye. We look forward to staying at the Westerton again when in the area.

The best B&B ever!

It is a gorgeous property with warm and welcoming hosts.  It is perfection personified.  We would return in a minute.  Felt luck to get our room as there are only 3.  The breakfast is served in an elegantly appointed room with white glove service that is not stuffy. 
We’d return in a heartbeat! 

Stunning / First Class operation!

We would have to award five stars for all aspects i.e. hospitality, accommodation, food, location & service.
Mike & Leslie were very welcoming and made you feel “at home” immediately upon arrival. Nothing was too much trouble or effort and they were extremely helpful in assisting us to plan and organise our excursions.
The house is superb with all the rooms being extremely spacious, immaculately furnished and very tastefully decorated. Everything was spotlessly clean and of the very best quality. All the rooms at the rear of the property enjoy lovely views of the surrounding hills and the rear garden with adjoins the local river.
 Our bedroom, which was at the rear of the house, was extremely spacious and contained a super king size bed which was extremely comfortable and the bedding was top quality.  The ensuite bathroom/shower was spotlessly clean, with a lovely powerful shower and plenty of hot water.
The combined lounge & dining area was also at the rear of the property and hence enjoyed lovely views over the rear garden and the surrounding hills. The dining area was spacious with individual tables for each room, each extremely well presented with beautiful silver cutlery and sparkling white linen. Unfortunately due to time constraints, we didn’t have the opportunity to use the lounge but this was light, airy and looked very comfortable. 
The house is ideally situated being only a few minutes walk, on the flat, to the main street in Callander with all the shops and restaurants. There is plenty of room for parking at the front/side of the property.
 The breakfast, which is ordered the night before, was extremely tasty with many healthy options in addition to the traditional “Scottish Breakfast”.  The choice of fresh fruit was extensive and the home made muesli and pecan & maple granola was superb.  All produce is locally sourced and was of the very best taste and quality. 
We have travelled all over the world, staying in all types of accommodation and in our opinion this is one of the best places we have ever stayed in.
Many thanks Leslie and Mike for making our stay so enjoyable and should we ever plan to come to Scotland again we would most certainly wish to stay with you.

Absolutely fabulous & first class

A magnificent B&B with beautiful interiors and exteriors, as well as a great welcoming/attending from the hosts. The room and bathroom has great standard and there is even a small fridge, which is very good! The breakfast is excellent, served in a beautiful room with magnificent views over the garden.

Gold Room

it is a wonderful place. The owners are helpful and gracious. The food was excellent. They will go out of their way to arrange the breakfast to meet your travelling needs. They have a list of all the restaurants in Callander and will make reservations if you need it. The grounds were spectacular with the rhododendrons in bloom. The room was spacious and well appointed.
I should have read the map they sent before arriving as the GPS was off by about 100 yards.
Can't say enough how nice the owners were and how good the food was.



Westerton B&B in Callander Scotland

Absolutely, without a doubt the best B & B in Callander and surrounding area. Mike & Lesley were the consummate hosts. We stayed in the Gold Room, views over the rear garden down to the river - very quiet. Our room was perfect, clean crisp white linen with fluffy white bath towels.  Shampoo, shower gel, soap, lotion etc. presented in the bathroom. Kettle with great choice of teas and coffee - loved the fresh milk touch not forgetting the biscuits. Breakfast, well, what a choice, it was first class, spoiled for choice but loved The Posh Breakfast - scrambled egg with smoked salmon...delicious.
Will be recommending to all our friends here in UK and rest of the World....
