An exceptional place to stay. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and the beds are so easy to fall asleep in. The pub downstairs is first class; the food is quite good, and the atmosphere is happy and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.

A great choice for Cardiff!

Booked here as it’s close to the sports centre in sophia gardens, my son had a pistol shooting competition so needed to stay somewhere the night before as we had an early start. The hotel is clean and the rooms are modern and spacious, we had food in the restaurant and it was reasonably priced and tasty. The staff here are so nice they couldn’t do enough for us, they allowed us to leave our cars in the hotel car park all day even after check out, saving us a fortune on having to pay to park at the venue, we will definitely book here again as in Cardiff quite a bit.

Brilliant hotel lovely staff

Great food in a great friendly place. My girlfriend & I together with 2 friends went for food at The Beverly on Cathedral Road, Cardiff.
This is the 2nd time in 2 weeks that we have been there which highlights how good the food is.
Tonight we all had the mega mixed grill and my goodness it is terrific.  It comprises of an 8oz rump steak cooked to one's specification (medium rare for me), a 7oz gammon, a chicken fillet, which was approx 7oz and two pork&leek sausages.
I highly recommend this dish.

Great food at a great price

Stayed with a friend overnight in room 18 (family room) whilst visiting for a gig in Bute Park.
We actually felt that every member of staff we dealt with went above and beyond to help us. From keeping our bags safe for when we arrived early and placing them in our room to giving us a free drink when we overpaid by mistake for breakfast ones. Loved how friendly everyone was. 
Easy walk to Cardiff Centre which was really handy. 
Just be warned that room 18 can get very hot in the warm weather, fan provided which helped a bit.
The bathroom was really lovely & the teabags are Twinings so everything a girl needs!

Friendly, clean, comfortable & close to town. What more could you need?

Absolutely amazing hotel with fantastic staff. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was amazing especially the breakfast.  Chelsea was a credit to the hotel. The room was immaculate and clean and the location was perfect.

Little gem

We had a really lovely stay here, the room was spotless! Clean, cosy and had everything we needed. When we checked in the pub below was very busy as the grand National was on, however our room was directly above the pub and we didn’t hear any noise at all! The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was great!
I’m quite a paranoid parent with little ones and locks when we stay away but we were happy about the security and the door had a high chain on so the little ones couldn’t open it by themselves.

Would definitely recommend and will return, Thank you!

Lovely stay

Above The Beverley pub, very close to Sophia Gardens. The room was perfect, spacious, comfortable and stylish. Great bathroom too. Secure onsite parking a real bonus. Lovely staff. This was a great find and we’ll definitely stay again.  

Great room, great location.

Nice clean and tidy place great service and lovely breakfast free car park safe and secure and friendly atmosphere within the hotel,.
The location is ideal as it’s not to far to walk into the city centre.
Friendly and competent staff with a smile on their face makes all the the difference, thank you.

Lovely place to stay

Myself and my partner stayed here for 2 nights and couldn't believe our luck! We were warmly greeted upon arrival and even allowed to check in a little early which was very kind of them. 

The room was lovely and big. Very clean and the shower was fantastic. The bed was SO comfortable. Myself and my partner couldn't belive how well we slept. Considering the location and the attached pub I thought it was very quiet too. 

On the first night we decided to eat in the the attached bar. We didn't expect much given the relaxed pub atmosphere but we were pleasantly surprised. We each had the vegan burgers and the vegan chocolate orange tart which were delicious. The menu was good and varied and allergies/intolerances are very well catered for. The service was efficient,  friendly and genuine by everyone we encountered. 

On the back of the fantastic meal the night before we decided to have breakfast the next day. We weren't disappointed. Everything was wonderfully fresh and the service, again, was great. 

The only very tiny niggle I had was the WiFi. I feel the hotel side should have its own WiFi as apposed to using the O2 pub WiFi as the net work was dropping out a lot. But as I say, a very small niggle that didn't at all take away from a fantastic  experience!

Fantastic!

From the moment we got there we felt a warm welcome. Definitely recommend the innkeepers. The room was a good size and clean. The location was fantastic nice walk though the park to get to town. The staff were fantastic and it wasn't just 1 what stood out they all did. Always there to help
