Excellent. I requested a table for 6 for lunch at the last minute, the Fort went above and beyond and moved a few tables around to accommodate us. Good menu with something for everyone: everything from soup, baked potatoes, burgers, to a full blown lunch and all proper sized helpings. Staff were friendly and helpful. Prices are not ridiculous. We all agreed we had had a very positive experience. We’ll be back again soon.

Great Affordable Food, Friendly Helpful Establishment

Excellent meal, very happy with food steak pie was delicious as was the fish. Staff were very pleasant and happy. Prices were really good value for money. Spent less than I was expecting. An amazing place for a meal in Broughty Ferry Dundee! .

Had a great meal in the beer garden.
Service was excellent. I’m partially disabled and one of the waiters went out of his way to ensure I was comfortable by giving me a lovely cushion for my back.
The food was first class as well.
Will definitely be returning.

Weekend break stayed in the Gilles rooms.
Excellent location, excellent accommodation, excellent,  food excellent, great atmosphere..all round excellent..10/10

Weekend break 

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. All the staff were friendly. The rooms were spacious and very clean. We had a lovely lunch in the beer garden, which is beautiful. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. The owner and the manager went above and beyond our expectations when they ensured we got to the train station in time when the taxi we ordered let us down. We cannot thank them enough. We will definitely be back. Hopefully for two nights next time!

Highly recommended, fantastic stay

We couldn't decide on what to make for dinner tonight so my wife said about going to The Fort in Broughty Ferry. This had been recommended by a friend, so we went along . Staff very friendly and efficient. Chose my favourite meal of steak pie, while my wife opted for the fish and chips. We asked for the small portions, as they do two sizes of meals for most items on the menu. The steak pie was delicious. In my top 5 so far, and that is from places around Scotland. There was a wee mixup in the kitchen and while my wife and I just sat chatting away, we were approached by one of the staff members who apologised for the delay, we hadn't even noticed. Offered us a drink to say sorry. We refused as we had enough in front of us. The meals duly arrived and for 'small' portions, they were huge. Two meals were only £14. This place is now my favourite place to go for food in this area. The staff, choice of dishes and taste of the food were all was up there. Will deefinitely be back, and soon.

Fantastic

Jut returned from a weeks stay at this great Hotel. The rooms were great and the beds so comfortable. The food in the hotel was excellent and very good value. But the main reason why this hotel is so great is the staff who are not only friendly but so accommodating, they really can't do enough for you and i look forward to returning in the near future.

Fantastic Guest House

Just spent an awesome week at the Fort - everything was first class. I have stayed in many other hotels and B&B's in the Dundee area but this Hotel is streets ahead on Value, Customer Service, room quality and the food and bar are top notch.

Special mention must go to all the staff who could not have been friendlier, helpful and interested in what we had been up during our whole stay. John helped with contacts for local service (6 seater taxis, Airport Transfers) and just made everything easier.

The Best Hotel in Broughty Ferry, Dundee

Hotel is first class receptionist lesley on arrival was first class  explained every thing to myself and my friend  it was our first time there but you felt as through you had been there lots of times 
We were in the suites they were stunning room was spotless and had  iron ironing board hairdryer 
The decor was stunning  plenty of hot water and towels  
Would 100 percent stay there staff helpful  nothing was a bother to them really friendly staff
Breakfast was lovely and the girl that served us  was very attentive all the staff  are so lovely

Overnight stay

We had lunch at the Fort bar and found both the food and service excellent prices are reasonable and we all enjoyed it two of our party ae chefs and the other two are in hospitality management so for it to impress must be good
