Having booked the Malmaison for our stay I decided to check a few days before our arrival to see if the price had dropped. Upon my search I came across this place and accordingly cancelled the Mal and booked here. Upon arrival we walked under the wooden arch, down the brick path, and past the pond to our weekend digs. Pressing a finger pad and putting in a code we entered and explored.

It is wonderfully delightful. Perfect for anybody wanting to stay 10 minutes away from the city centre and in a relaxing none-hotel style accommodation. The cottage has a big kitchen and dining table, a nice bathroom, 2 bedrooms and a lovely lounge with chairs and a huge sofa bed. Just fantastic. The only negative I can think of was the tv was a bit dated, it could do with a bigger smart screen television but if you’re seeing the sights in the day you will be tired in the evenings anyway and most probably resting in bed.

I would 100% stay here again, in fact if I ever visit Edinburgh in the future this will be the first place I contact for availability. Everyone reading this book it, you won’t regret it. Little hint and tip would be to take some bits and bobs to eat and drink with you but we found a small corner shop nearby which was a 5 minute walk. Perfect, thanks so much!


Great little place to stay

On the bright side: hosts where super nice and friendly and reachable via SMS to clarify some booking details - reasonably priced to . Bathroom was very clean. On the down side: the mattresses were a nightmare and really used up . Could not get a good nights sleep.

Lovely hosts - okayish apartmenf

Me and my family came here for 1 night, we always book hotels but fancied a change and it did not disappoint.

It was close to ocean terminal so plenty of places to eat inside, even had a soft play for our little ones and a cinema.

The cottage itself was fab, plenty of space and the garden was great out the back. Had swings and slide for the kids.
It was self check in and very easy to do.

The owners even had tea, coffee, milk and shortbread for us arriving.

Very pleased with our stay and we will definitely be going back.

Hidden Gem

Beautiful accommodation which we arrived at late on a really cold night. Instructions on how to self check in were clear and easy and the house was warm and inviting after a long drive. Comfortably slept 5 and the kitchen is big. Exceptionally clean property in a great location. A great choice

Fantastic comfy and warm

This is a two bed room property situated very near to Edinburgh city. The advise and instructions during booking was very clear and there was no problem in making entry to the cottage. This is a self service property, rooms are well appointed. Tea / coffee making is conplimentary and the kitchen is well equipped with microwave oven and necessary utensils as well. supply of essential tolleteries would have made completed the stay further comfortable.
