A very relaxing hotel with excellent restaurant and spotless room.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner were delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Well situated under the castle and overlooking Gorey harbour and the bay.

A great venue for a taste of Jersey

We have eaten at the Moorings a few times but decided to book an overnight stay and we loved it! The staff are always so friendly and welcoming, the service is second to none and the room is decorated beautifully with the comfiest, luxurious bed & bedding.

We woke up to the most stunning view then went downstairs for a lovely fresh breakfast and again, service with a smile. After 23 years in Jersey and many overnight stays, it is the first time I have stayed in Gorey so it’s great to have that option now with The Moorings, we didn’t want to leave!

Best in the East!

Another stay at the fabulous Moorings Hotel.
The hotel is beautifully furnished and has a fabulous relaxing feel. The most comfortable rooms, you will never have a better night's sleep.
The staff are without exception friendly, helpful and welcoming.
Food is amazing, best hotel breakfast selection.
We just absolutely love it.

Another wonderful stay in Gorey

Wonderful boutique hotel overlooking Gorey harbour. Warm, friendly and relaxed service and ambience. Restaurant also delightful with a Skandi twist. 

The room we had overlooked the harbour with a little balcony, huge comfortable bed and delightful little touches.

Smashing little hotel

A last minute booking for a gathering in Gorey turned into the best stay, on arrival we were upgraded to a deluxe harbour view room  - we enjoyed excellent service and hospitality.

Breakfast was included, varied and very delicious. 

We are Jersey locals and will be coming back for happy hour oysters. Overall this gem is highly recommended for a stay. 


Best hotel/restaurant in Gorey with excellent service.

I have lived in Jersey for over 7 years and after moving back to the UK it was a pleasure to visit the Island again. I can quite honestly say in all the time I have lived in Jersey and visited Jersey the Moorings Hotel and Restaurant is by far the best on the Island. 
Probably the best meal I have ever had too!!! The most delicious soup I’ve ever eaten. I’m not over exaggerating when I say this place is sublime. The atmosphere, decor, staff, Food, welcoming atmosphere and in one of the most beautiful parts of Jersey! Book a stay or a table while you can!!!! can’t wait to go back!!! This is a true Gem ! 

Best Hotel and Restaurant in Jersey!!!!!

The lovely couple that are Mr & Mrs Jones deserve a huge accolade.  They have turned the Moorings Hotel, restaurant and cafe into the destination in Gorey.  They are warmly welcoming, they can’t drink enough and their Scandi Twist makes this destination head and shoulders above their competition in Jersey.
The food in the restaurant was delicious, the wine was carefully chosen and breakfast was the perfect blend of clean food or naughty and a little indulgent.  Theirs is the format to follow…… friendly, relaxed elegance and all with a view of Gorey Harbour and the Castle.  We need them to roll it out in the West of the Island! 

Long May they reign…..;-)

The Moorings now the destination space in Jersey!

This is a gem of a hotel - great location and amazing views. Very comfortable room, spotlessly clean too. Yoga studio fab and would recommend the yin class. Hosts and staff couldn’t have been more helpful, going out of their way to make our stay amazing. Provided so much local knowledge and assistance with suggestions for walking. 

Relaxing retreat

Fan-tab-u-lous!! We absolutely LOVE The Moorings. After two half term trips (May & October) it feels like a real home from home. Even from my first phone enquiry I felt completely welcome. 

A friendly and relaxed family affair, our two young children played endlessly with their children. The location is stunning with beaches and rock pools near by to keep everyone happy.  Our rooms were lovely with fab views, robes and plenty of fluffy towels but best of all, every meal from, breakfast to supper, was simply delicious! We spent a lot of time eating, drinking and relaxing which you don’t often get to do with a young family. 

We have enjoyed two utterly delightful weeks at The Moorings and we would thoroughly recommend!

My favourite hotel!

We had a lovely warm welcome on arrival (when we were also kindly allowed to check in early!) and we instantly noticed the cosiness of the hotel, as well as the cleanliness and sense of calm. The room was wonderful, very clean with a fantastic view, the complimentary drinks being very much appreciated also. All members of the team were always friendly, smiling and happy to help and we loved the option of reading your menu whilst being sat in your lovely bar. The food was nothing short of amazing also! The breakfast menu was also great, it was refreshing to see something different in terms of the Scandinavian options also. Overall we had a lovely weekend and all of the team were lovely and very accommodating! 

I have already recommended both the restaurant, hotel and the cafe to numerous friends and family and we will most certainly be back soon.
