I booked very last minute on Xmas day ,room was very clean and comfortable.I couldn't have asked for any more.receptionist was very cheerful and polite.yes it's outdated but homely and smelt clean no smell of weed as others have said.only a stone's throw from the seafront 

So happy to be accommodated late Xmas day

This was my fourth visit to the Saint George, I booked a family room via bookings.com however wished to swap to 2 times couple rooms,  I cannot fault this hotel for the money the best value in Great Yarmouth . One word Faultless .

Yet another great stay at the Saint George

Great location, about 10 minutes too the town, Hotel was a bit dated, apparently hasn’t come back from pre lockdown, as bar and restaurant haven’t opened up since. Having said that, the staff are very friendly, room was cleaned every day, bottles of water supplied for tea, for the price we paid, can’t really fault it.

The hotel is certainly needing some work and restoration in parts but had a very comfortable bed and friendly, helpful staff.

It was safe and fairly quiet in the evenings.

It's in a good location as it's very close to the seafront and has it's own car park which is free for guests.

Ideal for a few days!

Very basic but functional,  needs a lot of updating from which I gather is on going . No food or bar but the rooms do have fridge & microwave , plenty of water/ tea / coffee/ milk in the room. Wardrobe in the room was a bit pointless as had to climb over bed to get to it 

OK for a night 

ok we know where it is and not the best area in run down seaside town ? much like most of them in the UK (mainly due to influx of east europeans,looking for affordable accomodation,not a slur on Nationality),this hotel has probably seen better days..BUT the room was spotless (very HOT due to main Sash window in bedroom not able to be opened..so we opened shower room window  !!)  could not work out shower, so we had a refreshing cool one lol. Garden/Courtyard seemed very busy and noisy at 3.30 in the morning ? but hey we,ve all been their if not get a life. Would we come back..certainly..close to all amenities but AVOID ..Harry Ramsdens Fish and chips..10 minutes down rd TOBY..excellent value All you can eat food..Cheers

Do not expect a *** star rating,what you pay for is what you get...

£80 for a twin room, no breakfast was high, mattress was dipping at bottom of bed. Was told no smoking but we don’t smoke anyway, but in the morning a strong smell of people smoking joints was Al the way through t the landing. Mismatched furniture and window bracketed together. Would not recommend this place although guy in front desk was helpful

Hotel is located in an ideal location, staff friendly enough, we were in the basement, which felt like you were in a dungeon, plenty of noise coming from outside and above, room smelt a little  fausty, there was no bar ,which was a little annoying, hotel could definitely do with a little bit of a make over. Would we stay there again, highly unlikely if I'm honest.

Room was clean, beds were comfortable and the location was excellent. Stayed with my 2 children for 1 night. There was a free car park round the back which we made use of and the staff were friendly.
I would use this hotel again.

One night

Good size rooms, we had a double bed and 2 singles. Room was very spacious. Tea and coffee making facilities. No breakfast or bar but that didn’t matter to us as was notified when booking. Fridge in the room and microwave. 
Had a jacuzzi bath which was a lovely added extra. 
On street parking which is a nightmare to find somewhere when the weather is nice however after driving round for a little while we found a space. 
House keeping came in and filled up the tea and coffee making tray & made the beds. 
Clean inside.
