Lovely little Shepherds Hut with spectacular, panoramic view across the northern peaks. Very clean and well equipped, even has a decent size shower and bathroom.. Lots of little extra touches to make it a relaxing stay. Definitely recommend to anyone.

Gorgeous Shepherds Hut in the Lakes

We had a wonderful time staying in the shepherds hut as part of the lake view b and b. The hut was well equipped and had everything you could need, modernly furnished and very cosy with fabulous views across to the lake and mountains and of course the sheep in the field behind! 

The hosts were very warm and welcoming and go out of their way to make sure you have a great visit, the breakfasts were excellent and it was interesting to speak to other guests so as to not feel totally isolated out in the shepherds hut.

The wine, milk and tea/ coffee and biscuits selection was a lovely treat in the hut and the wine went down well for birthday celebrations.

Would definitely recommend staying here, convenient for getting to keswick, derwent water, whinlatter, skiddaw and scafell pike (via seathwaite).

Beautiful setting and cosy shepherds hut!

We could not have stayed at a better place, the owners are lovely people and go out of their way to please. The breakfast is first class with excellent choices. The rooms are spacious and spotless and the view is wonderful. Thank you for making our break very memorable. A special mention for Rod's mother, Jean, a lovely interesting lady to talk to .Thanks again.

Lake District break

Great location just outside of Keswick, which was very busy. Stayed as I was running the Keswick half. Perfectly located if you have a car. Breakfast was really good and the room was spotless and cosy. 

Fantastic

Lake view is situated about 5 mins outside of Keswick with magnificent views across the countryside to Derwentwater. The owners gave us a very warm welcome and we were extremely happy with the accomodation. The bedroom was large and comfortable with a lovely big bed. All very clean and tastefully furnished. The en suite is also incredibly spacious and spotless. Of particular note are the guests' lounge and garden patio area that overlooks the beautiful surrounding countryside. My husband and I enjoyed a sunny cuppa in the garden, after a tiring day in the Lakes, before heading off to see Dial M for Murder at the Theatre by the Lake. Bliss!
The breakfast was excellent with thick, juicy bacon and meat packed cumberland sausages (vegetarian options available too!).
The guest lounge was roomy and comfortable with files full of local information and the owner was very helpful in passing on tips and ideas. There was a yummy fruit bowl and large variety of teas, coffee and biscuits on offer. We would highly recommend Lake View and felt it provided excellent value for money. Many thanks to the owners for a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Excellent Lakeland bed and breakfast

Can't say enough about Lake View. Lovely place to stay, of which we have done a number of times. Never get tired of the views across the Derwent valley from the garden and the mountain ranges surrounding it. Lovely, well tended rooms. Great breakfasts and very friendly hosts. Just the 2 double rooms, but one can be made into a twin and both rooms have their own private bathroom. Always sad to leave Lake View.

Excellent Place to Stay

We have retuned to Lake View annually for the last 7 years for an Easter break with 3 generations of our family. The service, hospitality and welcome are unbeatable.. The rooms are clean and spacious  and when filling both rooms you also have exclusive use of a comfortable lounge (with reclining sofa).  The breakfasts are delicious, but what stands this B & B apart from other good establishments is the welcome from the entire family. The children have particularly enjoyed their hands on experience with the lambs. Would definitely recommend this B & B wholeheartedly !!
