We have spent 3 nights here for a long weekend. Staff was very kind, helpful and smiling. The room #3 had all we needed after the long days roaming London. Tiny bathroom, could use some refurbishment, but all functional, equipped with hairdryer, a bunch of soft white towels, soap, lotion. We were served a healthy dose of breakfast of our choice every morning, that lasted until dinner. And on top the Northern line tube station is only a few minutes walk, also plenty of shops and restaurants as well, so this was an ideal choice for us. 

Value for money

Excellent value!
We had intended to travel to London by Train but the strikes thwarted that - so sought an hotel with parking near a Tube station. We're so pleased we chose Glenlyn.
Very friendly and helpful staff arranged for us to have access to our room - and parking - at lunchtime on our first day.
Very comfortable hotel, away from traffic noise. Close to Tube Station and to local cafes/restaurants (we sample the nearby Japanese and a Cafe "Holybella" - both excellent too.
Next time we visit London, we won't bother looking elsewhere for our accommodation.

Very welcoming and reasonably priced B&B hotel

We stayed over the Jubilee weekend and had a lovely time. The beds have been updated I think. The mattresses and duvet were very comfortable and felt good quality.

Breakfast was very good as usual. Full English, pastries, fruit and yoghurt on offer. 

It was a warm weekend, they had the windows open and fans on in readiness of us arriving in the room.

It is a very good location as Woodside Park is maybe 5 minutes walk and in the other direction we always make use of the high street, the is a bank, off licence and Sainsburys all 5 minutes away and we had dinner in the evening at the local Japanese place around the corner, also the Italian the next night and the Turkish restaurant Istanbul on the last night, they were all reasonably priced and good quality, so no need to travel into central London for food unless you want to.

Another lovely stay at Glenlyn

Such a pleasant stay.  Stayed for 5 nights. 

 Room was clean and warm, impressed on the size of the room. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.  The location is great with a short walk to tube station and high street.

I look forward to staying here again

Very pleasant experience 

Friendly staff who cannot do enough for you  and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in an hotel.   Really tasty breakfast as well. The location is great also, just up the road from the local tube station, so easy to get into the city centre from. Would 100% recommend.  Free parking also available which is an added bonus.

Fantastic place to stay when visiting London

Really, really good independent hotel. Super clean, great size rooms, nice short walk to the tube, good breakfast and everyone was really nice. We're local and needed a place to stay while our daughter held her eighteenth, and it was perfect.

Don't be blinded by the chains

I have stayed at Glenlyn 3 times now and never look anywhere else when I'm visiting London. Glenlyn is a few minutes walk from Woodside Park Station in a quiet area and has beautiful gardens. Breakfast is served in the bright conservatory that overlooks the garden.

Breakfast was delicious as ever, cooked to order and there is something for everyone. We always had something cooked and it arrives hot and very quickly.

We requested a twin room and they were happy to oblige, whilst the hotel was full we didn't hear any sounds from other guests and it was very tranquil. Rooms are a good size and with good quality mattresses, pillows and duvet. The shower was a good pressure and got nice and hot.

The staff as always are what really make the hotel so welcoming, they are so cheerful and happy to help.

I love the Glenlyn Hotel. Its close to family, shops and restaurant including clos to the tube. The staff are helpful, friendly and informative. The place is reasonably priced with breakfast and the rooms are clean and just what you need - comfy beds. Cannot rate this place highly enough for basic needs and breakfast. Plenty of information pamphlets in the reception room to choose from to assist in having a super stay.

A constant Gem

This is a clean, comfortable and convenient budget hotel, which is situated a few minutes walk from Woodside Park tube station, allowing excellent access to London. City centre is about 35-40 minutes on the tube from Woodside Park. This was our second stay here and again, the hotel was everything we needed. They offer an excellent breakfast and there’s a lovely garden which you can use. Staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is free and on-site. For us, this is the perfect hotel to stay in when visiting London. We will definitely stay again.

Excellent budget hotel for London trip

Great room clean good size etc great breakfast, really lovely family run hotel so handy just few minutes walk from the tube and has parking!!  Cannot recommend enough really great all round.  Right next to high street so plenty of restaurants.
