Just returned from a one night stay at Rutland Residence and can’t recommend the accommodation enough. This was a last minute trip for 3 adults and 2 children and we were assigned apartment 4 and given details on how to access apartments and parking via email.

On arrival we couldn’t access the car park but a quick call to the number provided and we were parked up. No problem with the access to apartments and in we went. Apartment 4 is up a few flight of stairs so do be aware there is no lift. On entering we found a really spacious and clean apartment plenty big enough for the 5 of us. We had 2 bedrooms, 1 en suite and both had huge beds. A large clean bathroom with toiletries provided. The lounge was huge and the tv had the full Sky package so movies and sports included. WiFi provided and signal was manageable. Kitchen was fully equipped and clean. Not sure whether there was an issue with the heating and the times it was coming on as it seemed to still be quite warm about 2:30am when I woke and then was cool at 9:30am. It is remotely controlled so may need a call to the office to check.

We only stayed the one night but would definitely return for a longer stay. The location is brilliant with bars, restaurants and shops all close by and with the apartments being set back off the main road we didn’t hear any outside noise. We did hear the people above moving around and people coming in through the main door but nothing too bothersome.

Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property going on our experience.

Christmas markets

We stayed here for 2 nights with friends the apartment was a great location and pure luxury.
It had everything we needed.
Parking was right outside which was great so we didn't have to worry about finding a space in the city.
Security was top.
Apartment clean and spacious.
Most importantly comfortable beds and sofa. 
Will definitely stay here again.


Luxury apartments 

We stayed here for 3 nights. First impression - spacious, quiet and warm. Nicely furnished, huge beds ! Lovely outlook overlooking the square. Some coffee pods, fresh milk , washing pods supplied. Handy to have a washer/dryer. Nice toiletries in the bathrooms.We were in apt 4 and there are lots of stairs ( no lift) which is ok but be aware. Handy location just off Princes Street. Some signs of wear and tear but it is an old building, the floors slope and the doors won’t stay open- quirky! The timed key pad was great idea. The apartment would benefit from some mugs( only had coffee cups), umbrellas and coat hooks in the hall. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Spacious elegant apartment

This was our second visit to Flat 2 and enjoyed as much as our first visit. The situation is excellent and even though near Princes Street is quiet especially in the evening. It was warm and comfortable and for a one bedroom flat very spacious. Very well equipped but adding a couple of softer pillows for those not keen on the firmer variety would be good. We did however notice some inevitable wear and tear since our last visit and a refresh in some areas would be an advantage. Overall would certainly recommend.

Second Vist

Nice apartments.
We have used destiny Scotland apartments many times and chose these ones as they were supposed to be the best and close to a wedding location.
At first we were horrified to discover how many stairs we had to climb. In the UK for 5 weeks including a family wedding we had a lot of luggage and had to climb up 2 steep flights (high ceilings). We are seniors/OAPs and had to locate young family members to help unload our car to flat4
Our friends  had flat2 on the ground floor which was a 1 bed and lovely. Ours was a 2 bed but it was 2 queen beds and there was no sofa bed. This was not clear on the website and not good for us as we had a son and daughter. We fortunately had other apartments booked locally.
There were many disappointments. 
Not enough linens for a 5 day stay. 
Stained carpets.
Broken vacuum cleaner.
Mirror behind door so not much use although lovely.
Only 2 dishwasher tabs for five days. 
Long walk to a difficult car park to manoeuvre. 
On the plus side:
Excellent location.
Nice size
Beautiful decor 
Lots of glasses and cookware although carrying groceries upstairs to cook was a challenge.

Would have been nice to have been able to use the fireplace as it was cold.
In future we will book ground floor.
