Stayed here for 3 nights with my partner and son, Dave was lovely and welcoming, room was lovely and clean! Shared bathroom but this wasn’t a problem at all, breakfast was delicious (one of my favourite things about going away haha!) only issue was parking as it was quite busy but we managed. Would definitely stay here again :)

Lovely little B and B!

Room light,clean,tea and coffee,decent TV and WiFi,comfy bed,nicely decorated, clean carpet underfoot after a day walking . Good location. Experienced host knows how to treat solos. V relaxed stay. Thanks v much

Ideal place to stay

had an overnight stay here during the sunny warm weather we experienced earlier in June. really nice location, short walk to the beaches, and the town centre. the owner Dave is friendly and welcoming, and the accommodation is clean and comfortable. good relaxing stay, highly recommended.

great place to stay!

Dave couldn't have been more obliging, sorting out the little details that made my stay hassle-free and relaxing - like a quiet room at the back of the house and explaining the parking arrangements.  The lounge was out of action due to Covid-19, but there was a small basket chair in my room which was fine.  Would happily stay again.

Great value place to stay

I was coming to Scarborough on a solo weekend break for 2 nights and chose Sea Dogs because of the location and great price. I got lucky with parking as there was a space right outside the door and I bought a parking permit for £2 as the wardens are very keen in that area. Nice single room on the first floor at the front. Very clean with plenty of drawers, hot drink facilities and a wall mounted TV. Basin in your room and bathroom/WCs just down the hall. All Covid precautions in place. Owner is very welcoming and friendly. I booked room only and he said he's currently not doing breakfasts due to Covid. Suited me fine as it gave me more flexibility, I was up and out early both mornings. Lovely decking/seating area to the front of the property overflowing with gorgeous flowers, ideal to sit and enjoy the sun. All in all this is a little gem of a place and ideal for a budget break.

Great place!

Stayed here in September with my wife and a friend. Cannot fault the hotel whatsoever. Beds were very comfortable, and rooms were clean. Plenty of tea and coffee provided. All amenities were spot on. Wifi worked perfectly. Breakfast was lovely and more than enough of a selection. Host was very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely stay again if in the area!

Excellent - Cannot Fault !

What can I say really about sea dogs. That I haven't already reviewed before. It's a fantastic little find, for myself to go to. I've personally never found fault with any of the facilities. And due to now going regular, learning local area and amenities too. Can be quite difficult at times with my son. But Dave realises that he has issues. The breakfast is always a must. And filling to say the least. I always have room number 4. But if your a lite sleeper I wouldn't recommend this room due to traffic. As can be loud. Always beautiful flowers outside and real. All ready looking into going again next year.

Good clean b&b, friendly service comfy beds and free wifi. Cant be faulted for the price of it and dave the owner is a good bloke. Didnt have brekky but will next time

We went into scarboro and returned about 3 am with key no problems at all



Exactly what we wanted

I often enjoy a solo visit to Scarborough and stayed here August 2020 and again June 2021. The location is excellent, very close to Peasholm, the Open Air Theatre and North Bay beach. South Bay is well within walking distance for me too. The owner Dave is friendly and welcoming. There is currently still no option of breakfast due to Covid restrictions but that suits me fine. Both times I’ve stayed in Room 5, single at the front on the first floor. A bit of traffic noise but then again I always have the window open. Big enough room with plenty of drawer space and the bed is very comfy indeed. A shared bathroom will not be to everyone’s taste. A decent budget guest house.
