This was our first stay at Dadmans and we certainly struck lucky! We only stayed for one night but felt thoroughly spoilt. Amanda and Philip could not have been more friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was superb. We would certainly recommend.

Thoroughly recommended!

I had promised myself that I would write this review as soon as I got home so that all my positive and happy thoughts and vibes would be captured in real time in this review. However, I was coming back from a weekend wedding and felt too 'tired and emotional' (smashed and hungover) to write anything. 

I booked with the owners to stay at Dadmans for three nights across the bank holiday weekend. I booked very far in advance and all communications between my booking over the phone and arriving in Sittingbourne was clear, friendly, professional and basically lovely. Emails were helpful and timely. 

The owner offered to collect me from the station rather than me forking out for a cab and drove me back to a beautiful family cottage and house. The gardens were a treat for the eyes and the house reminded me of every big family country home I'd ever been in. Family photos on the walls, lovely paintings and an array of books and sculptures dotted around. 

The welcome from the owners (M and P) was so warm and genuine that I felt immediately at home. I arrived early afternoon because I wanted to chill and they let me do my thing as I read (fell asleep) in their drawing room. In the evening M offered to drive me to the local supermarket to pick some stuff up and then drop me at the pub so I could grab an evening meal. Although saying that I suspect that if I'd requested an evening meal at Dadmans it would have been better than the pub food I ate. 

My room was spacious, clean, and traditional. The bed was delicious and the pillows were meltingly soft, as was the duvet. The bathroom was the same with a good shower and bath.

Breakfast was perfect every morning with homemade granola and apple juice and a 1st rate cooked breakfast using their own eggs and locally sourced produce. I am a condiment simpleton and even their lack of HP and Heinz tomato sauce didn't phase or diminish the quality of the breakfast. 

They both offered me lifts to the wedding on both days and were super relaxed about coming home times as long as you were respectful and quiet upon your return, which I am pretty much sure I was (tired and emotional so can't remember).  

And on the Bank holiday Monday I left they were kind enough to drop me at the station again. All in all a wonderful stay and somewhere I can't recommend enough.

A wonderful August bank holiday

a lovely stay at a lovely old mansion! If you are looking for a quiet and cozy place to stay dont look farther away, go here! they make you feel very welcome and do what they can for you to have a good stay. 
You can walk along their garden and watch their chickens.

We wanted a good place to have a meal and they recommended a lovely italian restaurant that had amazing food just 14 min away by car. If you let them know in advance they can cook dinner for you at the b&b.

romantic get away!

We wanted 4 nights in the best countryside B&B in north Kent to visit the coast from Rochester to Sandwich. We certainly found it at Dadmans, down a long narrow country lane. From the efficient and friendly booking process to the warmest of welcomes from Mandi and Philip, we knew we were in for a special few days. Lovely house and first floor room with own bathroom next door. Delightful lounge overlooking extensive gardens. Offered to bring milk daily for early morning tea and tea/shortbread when we returned each afternoon. 3 course meal on first night at £30 was good value and breakfasts in the morning were special. Attention to detail throughout was excellent and it was good to see both Philip and Mandi equally involved in every aspect of our stay. At £110 night it was very good value for a special occasion. Good base for everywhere we wanted to visit. Rochester, Whitstable and Sandwich were the stand out towns.

Very good and exceptional value

We had a lovely overnight stay at dadmans. The owners were lovely and very warming. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The bed was amazing! My husband said he had the best nights sleep in a long time due to it. 

Breakfast was lovely and the table was set out perfectly. It's a little gem this place. We hope to return again. ☺
