Welcoming and helpful personnel, lovely room, within walking distance (uphill) of the main part of town, delicious breakfast menu ~ truly enjoyed staying here. When we could not figure out how to use the washing machines and dryers, one of the senior staff made calls to the service provider to make the machines available for our use. We were early and the staff graciously came to store our luggage and offered us coffee till our rooms were ready.

Excellent Accommodation

Our happy weekend was enhanced by a brilliant experience of great hospitality. The breakfasts were amazing with wonderful service from Rachel and her team. A great welcome at reception, with warm and friendly service throughout. We couldn't have asked for better. Would highly recommend this as an extremely affordable place to stay.

Joyous reunion

It's a dorm room, essentially, but how much time does one spend in a hotel room? We're off and exploring and learning almost all the minutes of the day, except for 7 hours. Great breakfast buffet with a new coffee machine that helps, and lovely dinners helped us enjoy our stay. My spouse was at a conference, and all of the staff was just lovely and so helpful!! I worked at a great desk in the room. One thing for us spoiled Americans to remember is no air conditioning, but we were comfortable... clean and great! Met many golfers enjoying their economical stay--close to Old Course hotel.

Value for the stay --amazing!

Stayed there while attending a conference that took place on the St Andrews campus. Apparently this is the largest dorm that St Andrews U has to offer and it's available during the summer months when the University is not in session. 

The rooms are basic student accommodations but the wifi works; the room I stayed in (on the 4th floor) was clean, including bathroom and shower. There was a hot water thingy and tea and coffee were supplied in decent amounts. No fridge or safe though. Also, the mattress was way too soft, or maybe just worn out. But I managed.

Brekkie was included and was actually quite good (with several stations offering a gamut of options). Hall staff (mostly older folks) were consistently friendly. The folks at the reception desk were younger and could use a lesson or two on customer service. 

Overall, it was not a bad choice and if I would attend another conference, or for that matter if I would decide to take up golf, it'd be a creditable alternative.  

The hall is about a 15 minutes stroll to North and South Street ("downtown") both of which have plenty of food and drink places. 

Dorm accommodation but ok 

Booked a golf trip to St Andrews with an overnight stay at Agnes Blackadder Hall. Must have been another 100 golfers there, great use of the facility out of student term time. Simple check in, room fine, staff great and really well organised. Wouldn't hesitate to book again!

Very good facility

Great place to stay for a couple of nights amazing selection at breakfast would definitely recommend for a few nights in st Andrew's. The location is perfect as well as it's easy to find and great back and forth from the town.

Good place to stay for a couple of nights and great breakfast.

 Booked for 2 nights as at reunion second day close by in madras rugby club. 3 rd time lucky with room the first smelt strongly of mild the second the bed was broke 3rd was good. Bed is still a double bed for a student so being old we prefer a comfy larger bed but we knew this when we booked room clean shower hot bar really friendly great food and seating area around it comfy and cosy. The breakfast wonderful better choice than some 5 stars. There was a large group of school kids staying both nights and they loudly stomp around corridors late at night. First night couple of times as walking by but second night they decided to party in our corridor until next door managed to shout at them and move them on before we did. Staff great and can’t control customers. So u book hear as cheaper than hotel and central to where u need to be so u have to expect these things to happen. Would stay again but with ear plugs just incase

Reunion

Not the most luxurious place you will ever stay but if you're after a clean room with a comfortable bed, tea and coffee making facilities and you don't want to pay a fortune, as it would appear you have to for most of the other hotels in the area, then this is the place for you.

Great value

Chose this accommodation as it was cheap at £59 room only for one night. I knew it would be basic as I’ve stayed in similar student accommodation before and it was indeed very basic.  The rooms are available during the summer months when the students are away. Was quite tricky to find once I arrived at the Campus. Reception staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately in the first room I had, the bed was old, squeaky and fit for the skip. After contacting reception, they quickly allocated me another room which was better.  The advertising says it’s 10 minutes walk into town and it is if you are 18 years old. Being well over 18 it took me 20 mins. There is pleasant short cut into town through a park at the back of the building. If you are looking for cheap, basic accommodation for a couple of nights then this place is fine. The restaurant was closed so no breakfast served but plenty eateries in town. Tea and coffee making in the room. If you plan to have dinner in the town, you really need to book in advance. I struggled to find anywhere for dinner. Oh and take earplugs if you sleep with the window open as the seagulls are SO noisy!!

Very basic cheap accommodation

The halls are only 10/15 minutes walk from attractions and has adequate free parking.
Checking in is quick and pleasant and all staff encountered over our stay were friendly and helpful.
The room was, as you would expect for student accommodation, very basic but clean and tidy.
The double bed was comfy.
The toilet was basic but had a good shower and there were toiletries provided.
The TV was tiny.
The bar on site had reasonable prices.
The breakfast room had a great choice of hot and cold items and were of a reasonable standard. The staff were working hard to Jeep items stocked up and available.
It cost us £82 for both of us on a bed and breakfast basis and if you take into account it is student accommodation it is reasonably priced given the costs if you stayed elsewhere.
If you are not too precious about your surroundings you will not be disappointed staying here.
