Stayed here with a group.  Hotel is rather isolated, local bus quite a distance for older people to walk to plus not always running.  Hotel should think of running a small bus to St Peter Port or even to the bus stop.  The location is high up the cliff with paths down but very steep.  Food excellent, evening meal main course was enormous, too much for me, but the fish was gorgeous.  Hygiene standards in the rooms need to be improved as all ledges were thick with dust and the ledge at the side of the shower covered in urine.  Fabulous walk in shower but sadly no grab rail or anywhere for toiletries.  A lovely pool with plenty of tables and chairs plus sun shades.  This could be an absolutely gorgeous place to stay with a little more tlc and transport to the port.

Needs a little more thought

Firstly, there are many positives...stunning seaview in our room, lovely staff; especially Ashik from Bangladesh who I feel is destined for the very top as a waiter. The best I've come across in my many decades of travelling. Our bedroom was small, no Aircon & lighting which was severely bright, yet a very comfortable bed. Had to keep the window open though & was bitten by mosquitos each night!
The shower is a powerful rain type & overall the hotel is modern in places & tired in others. If like myself you enjoy a swim; the pool is 2.2 metres & is deep enough to dive in.... unusual in the extreme these days. Dining is expensive & in the evening is extremely average, yet breakfast is served to your table & is extremely good quality. 
We had a very comfortable stay, yet a member of staff whom I liked, needs to rein in his humour with guests (who are mainly elderly). His conversation can become dark & a little intimidating but it in no way detracted from enjoying Guernsey for us.

Surprisingly good 

We booked this hotel for a weeks holiday, B & B. The hotel is exceptionally clean, the staff are so friendly and helpful. Our plan was to only eat breakfast there, however the evening menu was very nice, we really enjoyed the food so much we ate there every evening. There is a lovely swimming pool, but we didn't use it. It is situated in a quiet lane, and a walk across that lane outside the hotel takes you to a beautiful coastal path, with stunning views. 
We would certainly stay again.

Stunning location, a very clean, comfortable, friendly hotel.

My wife and I (in our 80's) visited Guernsey last week. We stayed at this hotel for the duration of our stay. The outside view of the building is very nice, and the location most attractive, overlooking Saints Bay. The rooms were clean, tidy and well apponted. The restaurant is well laid out and the tables had been arranged to accomodate the rest of our party. The food was absolutely fantastic, which everyone enjoyed. When not visiting other parts of the island, we took advantage of swimming in the heated swimming pool. There was no entertainment in the evenings, so after dinner sitting in the lounge or bar area (prices rather steep - captive audience!), so it was going for a walk, or early night. The hotel is located a long way from the town, and although there is a local bus stop, the service was suspended from the Wednesday (until further notice!).  So one had a half hour walk to another service stop, or taxi. Nothing to do with the hotel, of course.
The only down side as far as we could note, was the obvious lack of maintenance inside the hotel and in the grounds, which didn't spoil our stay overall, but which should be attended to urgently.

The good the bad and the ugly.

Homely, family-run, compact hotel.  Staff are excellent, food very good, everywhere clean and most of the hotel had been recently renovated to a good standard.  Rooms are still slightly basic (no wardrobe doors, no USB sockets,no shaver socket in bathroom, no safe, etc), but it is only a 3* hotel.  Food and drink expensive, beer over £5 a pint, dinner £30, but these are the normal sort of prices in the Channel Islands.  The bedroom windows are double-glazed, but are draughtly and the glass is blown, need replacing urgently.  There is a nice swimming pool - but only table and chairs, no sun loungers.  The dining room has nice chairs, but they are lounge chairs and too low, my chi was only an inch or two above my dinner plate!  The hotel is a long way from the shops, but near to a lovely bay.

Nice hotel

The airline arranged an overnight at this hotel when our flights were delayed. I stayed with my 4 siblings. 
The hotel is quite outdated in places and could do with some TLC but on the whole it was a lovely place to stay. It was immaculately clean, not a speck of dust anywhere. The beds were so comfortable. I slept so well, it’s such a quiet hotel. 
We stayed for a 3 course meal in the evening which was lovely. The bar was open until 11pm. Breakfast had a good selection. 
The staff were incredible. Nothing was too much. They were very accommodating . I would definitely consider staying here again if we return. 
The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the most amazing views on the cliff, the sunset is a must see!

Amazing staff!

Loved this hotel, no frills. Great hard working staff, good food and a clean bed, well stocked bar..Fantastic views, and a great local bus service..
The only downside of this hotel in my experience was the lack of a lift, open stairways with no bannisters.. not suitable for any one with mobility issues ..

Pleasant stay

Disappointing stay. Hotel is worn, looks like it’s been dragged backwards out of the 80’s and needs a good refurbishment. Pool not open all the time. Limited staff numbers with one person covering everything in the evening . Tendency to not open things like the bar in the evening. Had to go in and turn on the lights myself. Evening restaurant was a no.

It doesn’t look much from the outside, but I was pleasantly surprised by the room. It looks newly renovated with a colorful decor and the shower was especially nice and modern. The bar could do with an update, but I guess that might be next as the restaurant seems newer, too. Food was good, but has no or not many options for vegetarians. 
Additionally, I was missing sun lounges at the pool, but there is plenty of seating around it.

This hotel is truly awful.  Plastic duvet on bed. Paper thin towels. Plastic mugs and the worst value breakfast imaginable 
We booked to stay for five days but had to break our stay. We rebooked elsewhere. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.   In fairness two towels were replaced with marginally better. Breakfast was the worst I’ve had in any hotel. Heated up under a grill.   Ju
