We stayed here on a visit to the Teignmouth area.  The hosts were so accommodating and nothing was too much trouble.  The room were very clean and tidy with home made cookies, tea, coffee and cold drinks all complimentary.  We had a beautifully hot cooked fresh breakfast with home made bread which was served by our hosts, Andy and Anne.  Dogs are welcome too which is great as there are some lovely walks for them to experience.

Gorgeous B & B

We have had a lovely few days in this B&B, thank you Andy & Anne for making our stay so relaxing and comfortable. 

1. About a mile out of Teignmouth so no drunks walking home to contend with. 
2. Easy on site parking in marked bays.
3. Very clean everywhere and very comfortable room, nice extra touches, fresh milk and homemade cookies, and free cokes and water in the fridge. 
4. Delicious breakfast choices.
5. Super friendly hosts and great to meet one of their dogs. 
6. Highly recommended and we will return for sure when we next visit our family who live in Teignmouth.

An absolute gem - highly recommend

It was truly lovely, Anne & Andy were so friendly! We stayed in the Ajax room & the bed was so comfy we didn’t want to leave! 
As coffee lovers, Anne’s knowledge of the Blue Mountain coffee they supply was music to our ears & the vegetarian breakfast was delicious!!

A truly wonderful & comfortable B&B

Set on the outskirts of Teignmouth, on the road to Dawlish, this little B&B, only 3 rooms, was a delight. Nothing was too much trouble for Ann and Andy, they had thought of every detail to make our stay as comfortable as possible. “We just want it to be exactly as we would hope to find things if we stayed somewhere”, Ann said when I thanked her.

It started with the parking, where the small carpark had lines on the tarmac to mark the 3 parking bays, thus preventing a lazy parker making it tricky for a latecomer to get the car in.

The garden was glorious, with a tinkling fountain, lush planting, and three separate sitting-out areas, (so one for each room if you wished), with sweet-smelling roses nearby.

Inside the Covid procedures were clear and efficient. The breakfast room had well-separated tables, and the timings were staggered to ensure no crowds anyway.

Our room was not large, but perfectly adequate in size with a bedside table on each side of the comfortable bed, which had good quality bedlinen. 

It was extremely well equipped, with a little sofa at the foot of the bed, a tower fan for warm nights, kettle and real cups and saucers, even a little fridge with water, soft drinks, and a bottle of real milk for the tea or coffee. Oh, home-made cookies for us too. Delicious!

The only negative seemed to be that the socket for me to charge my phone and tablet was inconveniently placed, until my OH pointed out that there was, on the bedside table, a charging dock for 4 devices. Perfect!

The bathroom was quite spacious, with nice toiletries (with the name “Minadab” on them, a lovely touch) and very good-sized towels. Don’t you just hate it when the towels are a miserly size! It had a quiet extractor, and also a can of air-freshener spray. The equipment was modern, the tiles too, and everything here and elsewhere was spotless.

Breakfast was ordered the night before from a menu with a lot of choices. We went out early, 7.30, for a lovely walk along the lanes and down along the seawall. The Minadab is well sited for walking, in the afternoon we went down the Eastcliff walk to Teignmouth. 

We returned for our 9 a.m. booked breakfast time. The drinks came immediately, the cooked food, clearly freshly cooked, about 5 or 6 minutes later.

It was all delicious, with good quality ingredients. The napkins were real material ones, not paper, and both the marmalade and the raspberry jam were homemade.

This is highly recommended.

Outstanding attention to detail

We have just returned from this B&B where we had a great experience  We were made to feel very welcome 
Our room was perfect for our 2 night stay. Breakfast had lots of very nice touches - homemade jams and marmalade, homemade bread. We even had homemade cookies in our room.. 
 Covid regulation didn't effect us at all as the  owners had everything organised very well, we had staggered breakfast so time was limited with other guests which made us feel very safe - every effort was made to keep things clean and safe for all guests.
 We can highly recommend The Minadab.

A Real Gem

We have recently stayed at the minadab cottage and it is a amazing place. The hosts made us feel so welcome that we will be returning next year. A great base to stay and relax and unwind. The breakfasts were great with home made bread and jams. Thanks Ann and Andy

Lovely break

We thankfully managed to book the Minidab at our third attempt at getting married due to the unmentionable 19, and it felt like divine intervention as it was wonderful. Already in a lovely quiet part of Teignmouth, but a nice stroll down the hill in to town. We stayed in the Ajax room, and I haven't slept so well in months. The hosts were fantastic, home made biscuits and a cafeteiere in the room topped it off. Helped make a wonderful occasion even better, so much so we've booked again for later in the year.

Wonderful stay

Very welcoming hosts to their beautifully maintained cottage. Nothing was too much trouble. Very well appointed bedroom and en-suite. Superb breakfast using locally sourced products together with home made bread and preserves. Home made delicious cookies, fresh milk together with soft drinks and bottled water provided daily. Cosy guest lounge appreciated.

Excellent stay

We booked in to this brilliant b&b for a short break. It was our first visit and we will definitely be going back. Andy and Ann couldn’t be more welcoming. They were so delightful. The property is completely COVID secure and safe. The breakfast was very good. The property is in a lovely, convenient location. All in all a great stay. Thank you Andy and Ann!

Great stay!

The room we stayed in was cosy and very clean. The facilities are great and Anne and Andy are wonderful hosts. The breakfasts are a terrific standard and it's very good value for money. Their Covid provisions are also A1
