Very friendly welcome when we arrived and showed to our room,
The room was spacious and had everything you would need, very clean. We had dinner at night and could not fault it, again the staff serving were friendly and helpful. Plenty of choice for breakfast which again was well presented.
Looking forward to coming back.

Great place to stay

Highly recommend the Crown restaurant, The sausage and mash was the best I’ve had, very friendly service, lovely location,  a fab place to eat, and the sticky toffee pudding mmmmmmmm great ale and atmosphere. The manager was really acomodating, even though we hadn’t booked

Food is amazing

Stayed one night - room was spotless and meals (seabass and aubergine burger) delicious. Staff were great and the pub has a lovely atmosphere. Super dog friendly too which was perfect for us( including a doggy welcome pack 🐕)

Excellent stay

We had a fantastic stay at the Crown Inn. Booking was very easy online and the team were in contact very quickly to see if their was anything they could do to make our stay was a great experience. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and warm, the food was excellent and the staff were brilliant they were very welcoming could not do enough to help. 

Great Experience at the Crown Inn

We were moved here after our original booking at The King’s Head had to be cancelled due to a power cut. The Crown was absolutely fantastic. It has recently been refurbished so the current pictures don’t donit justice. Diane and her team were all amazing. So attentive and so much attention to detail. We ate a delicious meal which was excellent value for money. The room was spacious, spotless and super comfortable. I would highly recommend the Crown for anyone wanting a relaxing stay in the lakes.

Lovely stay

Stopped here on a whim and so pleased we did! Amazing food and service. The steak and ale pie was superb and the sticky toffee pudding with black vanilla ice cream a taste sensation explosion. We’ll be back again to sample more of the food as it all looked great! 

Family lunch

The pub is lovely inside and outside.The staff couldn't do enough to sort a table for a meal even though they were so short staffed.
We went with 4 dogs and were given  a corner table.The food was great,I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good meal.

Good food

This large pub was almost empty inside as everyone was making the most of excellent weather by eating on the comfortable and clearly recently refurbished terrace. Lots of dogs so if you’re not keen perhaps better to eat inside. The terrace backs onto a quiet side road so no particular problem with traffic noise or fumes. The menu is wide and goes beyond standard pub fare, a duck spring roll starter was a pleasant and delicious surprise. Burgers, one beef, one chicken, were very well above average and service was prompt. Portions generous. Well  worth a visit.

Me and my partner stayed for a week whilst in coniston for a wedding. Very good friendly atmosphere nice room and great food. Staff were very friendly and good company who always made us feel welcome. We will be back next year.
