Very clean. Close to town. Excellent breakfast.flat walking distance to the beach and rail station.  As with all Looe hotel there are steps. No lift. I am 74 and managed surprisingly well. Let very outlook over the river. Bar is open in the evenings and drying the day at weekends. No restaurant at night but do many nice places in the town why worry

Easy to manage without a car

Where do I start but a lovely friendly welcome from the owners quick and easy check-in
Room 3 was so clean , I could not find any dust and believe me I have high expectations as I have my own cleaning team at home for holiday lets and this accommodation was 10/10 
The breakfast was lovely and once again greeted by super friendly owners and surrounded my returning guests which we thought spoke volumes.
 
We will be back.

Just perfect

A friendly welcome as I checked in was already a good start. Combined with the use of a common sense approach to covid safety, I was over the moon to find fresh milk, fresh towels and loo rolls were all being taken care of in a sensible/safe manor as oppose to most other places I've stayed simply declining any contact.
There was plenty of choice for breakfast.
The location is ideal both for exploring Looe and the wider area.
Parking was easy in a car park just over the road.
I found the staff very friendly throughout my short stay.
There is a few stairs then a ramp up to the front door so perhaps not ideal for anyone with mobility problems, however I had no problems with this.
I stayed for two nights as part of a longer tour of Cornwall and this was the friendliest hotel I stayed at. Many thanks.

Perfect location.

We were staying in Looe for one night and the Rivercroft was in a good location for our purposes. It has lovely river views as the name would suggest, however we checked into our room to have a view of a metal fire escape at the back of the hotel. As we were there for one night, we didn't feel it was worth requesting a different room and had a very enjoyable evening dining out in the town. The breakfast was basic and uninspiring, sourdough and smashed avocado were not on offer. Also they only provided regular coffee, no lattes or cappuccinos. But the surprising thing was there were only three other tables laid for breakfast. We had assumed the hotel was full, due to or horrible view, but it appears it wasn't, but we weren't offered a better room. Anyway we felt that The Rivercroft is a step back in time, with dated furniture and furnishings and we won't be returning.

Underwhelming hotel with an awful view

We stayed in room 4. The room above was noisy with the floor boards and squeaking all night. Getting into the property is a nightmare loads of steps. Also no where to park. Don't come here if you have lots of luggage to bring or an oap. Also had a vegetarian breakfast but sausages were burnt and cold
