Stayed three nights in this lovely village pub.  The food was excellent.  Rooms were clean, tidy and well equipped. Chris, Yolanda and their staff were all so friendly and welcoming.  Lovely gardens, hanging baskets were gorgeous. They advised local areas to explore.  It was all perfect, wish it could have been a longer stay.

Great pub serving excellent food and real Ales, friendly staff and owners. The room we stayed in was clean, tidy and well equipped. Sunday carvery was amazing! Set in a lovely village and the locals were very welcoming.

Excellent country village pub / b&b

An excellent three night stay and I can’t imagine how it could have been any better. The service provided by everyone associated with the White Lion was simply superb. We ate, we drank and were merry.

Simply the Best

Our party of 9 plus a small dog had lunch on Bank Holiday Monday. From start to finish we were made very welcome we ate outside in the lovely garden. The food was excellent all well presented and the staff very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. One member of our party has coeliac disease so having a gluten free menu was particularly important and he really enjoyed his pasta dish. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their visit to The White Lion. Thank you.

Night away with friends

Called in whilst passing through the village. Beautiful pub with rooms. Rooms are busy though which was good to hear. Lovely cosy pub, staff were superb. I only had the beef ale onion pie, veg & chunky chips. The pie was delicious, great flavour & plenty of meat. Homemade, just how I like it. I shall have no hesitation in calling in again for lunch when passing by. Trade was good here for a lunchtime, also shows that the business is doing well. Congratulations to the owners, well done to their staff.

Beautiful lunch

A charming traditional pub with friendly welcoming staff and locals. I arrived late and they kindly cooked me dinner in advance and kept it for me after the kitchen was closed. Food was delicious.  Really comfy bed and slept like a log. Nice touch of bottled water in the room and biscuits to go with tea and coffee. Breakfast was delicious. Fabulous bacon. For an overnight stop I'd highly recommend.

Super place to overnight 

We visited twice, the staff were very friendly and very welcoming.
The food was excellent, I had a delicious lamb shank which was very hot and tasty. Both times the pub was busy which added to the lovely atmosphere.
It was a very cosy pub that also has rooms.

Great pub

Clean , good car parking and very relaxed environment. This pub is also pet friendly, with good outdoor seating if needed. The rooms were all nice with the normal on suite facilities. We are all planning on returning.

A group of us stayed while on a fishing trip

We had a really lovely evening at the White Lion for a prize presentation.  We were made so welcome by Chris and Yolanda who had also provided a fantastic buffet for us all. We had the additional pleasure of staying overnight.  Our room was cosy and comfortable with a lovely bed and all the touches you could possibly wish for. Our breakfast was plentiful using locally sourced ingredients and beautifully cooked. The garden is fantastic with massive willow trees and wonderful baskets and pots full of colour. A thoroughly enjoyable experience which we would heartily recommend.
