Cannot fault Arundel House, the staff are absolutely fantastic, it is like a home away from home. This was a very last minute / by chance booking due to booking elsewhere in Whitby and the property not being to standard it was a very quick search on booking.com to find somewhere else for the weekend so it didn’t ruin our weekend away.

The room we stopped in was fantastic, we felt so relaxed and at ease. It was very clean and facilities were brilliant. 

The breakfast was absolutely fantastic and even a sausage for our dog to take back to the bedroom. 

The location is fantastic, a quick 5 minute walk down the road and you’re at the bus terminal in Whitby.

We cannot wait to return and hope to return at some point this year or next year.

Absolutely fantastic

Very friendly, well located, excellent family run hotel with comfortable rooms and excellent freshly cooked breakfast.  Dog friendly too.  8 minutes walk from the harbour and shops etc.  And Whitby of course is a wonderful place for a short break.

Excellent family-run small hotel in Whitby

Last minute decision to stay in Whitby.  
We phoned on off chance they would take a one night booking and they were very accommodating. 
Great find, 5 min walk from harbour with free on street parking. 
Lovely friendly greeting and a comfortable room, warm (-4deg outside), great shower and I slept well in a nice bed.  
Good choice of breakfast and good quality ingredients.  
Definitely recommend.

Great find, great quality

We loved our first stay in Whitby here. Greeted friendly be Rachael and we got a free parking spot.
The room was perfect and we had an extra large bed.
The view of the Abbey and park were brilliant.
Breakfast was hot tasty and served very efficiently.
If we come back to Whitby we will definitely be coming back to Arundel House. 

Great first visit to Whitby

We’ve stayed at Arundel House Whitby a few times now and wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Whitby. The hotel is perfectly situated on Bagdale with great links into Whitby, overlooking Pannett Park with onsite parking. 

Although limited spaces, we’ve never not gotten a space whether it be in season or out having stayed at various times throughout the year. Usually we would stay in Stoker Room but this time opted for Cholmley Room which is now our new favourite having already booked again for next year. 

Scott and Rachel run the place but this is clearly Scott’s baby. We absolutely love Scott, he’s a great character and fantastic host. He also does a wonderful full English breakfast too, served at 8:30am each morning.

Looking forward to staying again!

Another fantastic stay at Arundel House Whitby

If you are going to Whitby I would recommend that you stay at the Arundel Hotel. My mum and I stayed there the staff were very friendly and the proprietor was very helpful in telling us all the locations to visit .We will be staying there again. It is so near all amities no trouble parking. Great choices of breakfast.

Fabulous stay

Stayed for 1 night with my dog in January and wasn’t disappointed. 
In a good location just outside the town with the Cinder path running at the back of the hotel. 
The bedroom was perfect for me and the bed was so comfy, 
Breakfast was beautiful and the sausage they did for the dog was a nice touch. 
Would defiantly recommend and I will be back

A gem.

Stayed for two nights midweek. Very reasonably priced, excellent location, just a short walk in to town. Well organised checking in and ordering breakfast was simple. Full English breakfast the first morning was excellent. Opted for Smoked salmon and scrambled egg the second morning, great choice, even garnished with caviar! Friendly owner and staff, clean room with a view of the Abbey. Some private parking available, but also good street parking on adjacent street. 

Friendly B&B with great breakfast

Just home after a two night stay, having spent one night here nearly two years ago. The location is great being a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of Whitby.
Lovely room with a comfortable four poster bed (Sutcliffe room) on the ground floor. Great shower with good towels and basic shower toiletries provided.
Excellent breakfasts on both mornings, all set up for our time slot  (either 8.30 or 9.30am). Friendly and personable service.
Will return next time to stay in Whitby.

Dog friendly place to stay just a short walk into Whitby town centre, clean and lovely room, tasty breakfast and even left us a sausage for the dog an ideal base to discover the area, friendly staff and reasonably price.  Really enjoyed our stay
