Everything- 10* service from Adam and Symmoane, History of the building, the facilities and breakfast were all outstanding and we were made to feel at home as soon as we walked through the door. Breakfast is included and is a fantastic continental. All the little things are thought about- portable fan/heater in room umbrellas offered in case of unfortunate weather. Plenty of water offered. Fantastic!

Excellent!

Excellent stay at Elim over the bank holiday. The couple who own the Guest House could not be more helpful and welcoming. Rooms were sparkling clean and great little touches left in the room. we had a few issues whilst we were there with medication, maps etc and they just sorted us out, no hassle.
We both agreed it made a pleasant change not to have a hot breakfast. My partner loved his daily porridge and compotes each morning. fab location too. no negatives, other than we had to leave. definitely recommend and will hopefully return next year.

Amazing helpful and Informative Owners

I have just returned from a 3 night stay at Elim Bank over the bank holiday weekend and what a great find this Guest House is.
Just a 5 minute walk left out of the hotel you are in the heart of Bowness, with its array of shops, bars, great places to eat and the dock to catch the boats across the lake. 
The hotel itself is gorgeous, both inside and out. There is a small car park around the back of the hotel, which is fab in Bowness as parking seemed difficult over the bank holiday. 
When we arrived we were met by both Adam and Symmoane, with a great warm welcome. Both made us feel so at home when we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble for either of them, going over everything we might need for our stay. When it came to breakfast, there is a booking system (book your time by 7pm the night before) which was great for us. The breakfast room is only small, but for a 7 bedroomed guesthouse it was perfect. The breakfast is continental- with a great selection of cereals, brown and white bread to toast, croissants and pan au chocolat (which you can warm) and a fridge of juices and milks and a gorgeous home made compot you can help yourself to. Porridge is also made fresh for you by Adam and Symmoane. Initially we wernt sure whether we would be disappointed with not having a cooked full english option each morning  but we were far from disappointed. We actually preferred it. We were out and about all day and it was a lovely start with fresh coffee and tea. 
We booked a double loft room, so had 2 flights of stairs to go up. There is no lift. But this was no problem for us. The room was beautifully decorated and spacious enough for the 2 of us. I liked the touches the room had like a hairdryer and a fan, a heat mat (for straighteners) and also the toileterries in the bathroom.
We had such a fabulous stay and will 100% be coming back to stay again.

Excellent Guest House, really good. Our room was comfortable, clean and warm with everything needed for our stay. Nothing was too much trouble especially for the lovely breakfast. Great location near the lake, strongly recommended and we very much hope to return in the future. 

Really excellent Guest House. 

Stayed at the Elim Bank Guest House for 3 nights. Considering this was a 164 year old Victorian property, it was superbly maintained. Rooms and linen were squeaky clean. Did not feel the pinch from the absence of a lift. Location was convenient with good access to the Bowness pier, restaurants, supermarkets and so on. Adam and Simmoane are superbly hospitable and welcoming to all their guests and we were no exception. The care factor going into the upkeep of the rooms, choice of breakfast (even the background music) and the overall comfort of the guests was clearly of a higher order given this is a owner operated hotel. All in all a great and memorable experience. Definitely recommended.

3 Nights Stay at Elim Bank Guest House

Symmoane and Adam are very friendly welcoming hosts.
Communication before our stay was great and Symmoane kindly got our room ready for us early.
Room had everything you needed, tea/coffee/biscuits/bottled water and squash, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel!
Loved the homemade greek yoghurt pots with fruit compote at breakfast...delicious!
A really good value stay, would 100% recommend.

Great stay

My hubby and I had the most wonderful time at the Elim Bank Guest House. The room was spacious, there was plenty to do within walking distance, the house was stunning, and the breakfast was delicious. However, what we really enjoyed the most was the conversations we had with the hosts! They were the friendliest people we have ever met. Though we live far away, if we ever make it back to England, we would stay here again!

Lovely Stay

We were invited to a wedding and have chosen the Elim Bank Guest House as our accommodation for that weekend based on location and good reviews. There are parking spaces at the back which is definitely a bonus. The property itself is old but very well maintained. The guys who run the place, Simone and Adam, are doing a great job looking after it. It is very clean and tidy and you can see they pay attention to detail. The rooms are basic but have all you need. Iron, hair dryer, kettle and tea and coffee, even a bottle of water, fresh towels and some toiletries in the bathroom.
Breakfast is included but you might be able to negotiate this if you book directly with them. They have NO cooked breakfast (full English). There are cereals (also gluten free options) pastries, toasts, jams, yoghurts, fruits, juices and tea/coffee. It was fine and plenty for us but if you fancy something else there is also a restaurant 2 mins down the road ( the Urban Food House) which serves full breakfast and lovely avocado on toast with poached eggs. 
We highly recommend Elim Bank Guest House, not only for above reasons. Adam and Simone put their heart and soul into this place. You are greeted with a big and warm welcome. It felt as we have known them forever. They go out of their way from providing us with a safety pin due to a dress disaster to offering us a lift to the wedding ( not needed in the end) as the pick up was delayed. Would we go back there? Definitely yes!  Wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Simone and Adam, Thank you for having us, your dedication, for caring and your tireless efforts to make us and everyone else feel welcome. What a brilliant weekend. You are fantastic hosts and such a lovely couple. It has been an absolute pleasure to meet you both.

Perfect Stay

Just returned from a two night break at this lovely guest house. We had a very warm welcome from the hosts Adam and his wife Symmoane who couldn’t do enough for us.
The rooms are over the second and third floors, the steps are alittle steep and there is no lift but this is to be expected in an old victorian house.
Our room was spacious and spotless with lots of little extras, they have thought of everything… 
Toiletries, iron/ ironing board, hairdryer, fan, tea and coffee making facilities. There is a TV on the wall, free Wi fi and plenty of drawers and hanging space in the wardrobe, wooden coathangers are provided.
The bathroom is a little dated with the shower over the bath, my mum at the age of 80 found this a little challenging but the instalation of  a hand rail would be enough to solve this problem.
There is free parking at the back of the property.
Lake Windermere with its shops, bars and restaurants is just a 10 min stroll away and 
there are also restaurants / bars in the immediate vicinity of the guest house, I can recommend Rastellis Italian restaurant, fabulous food with friendly staff and the Eggs Benedict at the Urban Food House are the best Ive had. 
I can throughly recommend this guest house and I will definitely be returning next time with my partner.

Just back from a 2 night stay. Received a very warm welcome and the hosts  who couldn't do enough for us. Rooms were spotless with a few well thought out extras. Ok they are a little dated however I can't believe how this would spoil anyones experience. Will definitely stay again
