Stayed 2 nights 2nd/3rd March 2020. Same as ever.....immaculately clean..great breakfast and so friendly. We were able to park the car at around 11.30 am as we weren't really concerned about the room being ready but ready it was. This may not be the case if it was busy but we really appreciated Diane having the room ready. Thanks again for a great stay. See you in July.  Donna and Tony (Sunderland).

What a lovely place to stay. Off road parking and only a 10 minute stroll from the City centre. Very clean, nice cosy room and a very good breakfast. 10/10 from me. The couple that run it are very friendly and helpful

Weekend break

With Family & Friends we visited York and Bowen House to welcome the New Year in. Totally loved Bowen House great location beautiful welcoming guest house could not have asked for better. The accommodation was the icing on top of a great trip, will definitely stay there again.

Great way to end the year

Lovely B&B in a great location.  Short walk into York but far enough out to get away from the hustle and bustle. Very clean and comforable with a great breakfast provided.   Diane and Peter are perfect hosts.  Couldn't fault a thing.

Been staying at Bowen House for our visits to York about 3 year now and it is as good as ever. Free parking, immaculately clean and great breakfast. Great stay .....again

We stayed at Bowen House in August 2019. It was about a 10 minute walk to town. 
Our room was meticulously clean, with everything we would want. Our breakfast was large, very well cooked, a great English breakfast. Our hosts went out of their way to help us with tourist information. I would highly recommend staying here

Two nights of great accomodation

Had a lovely couple of days staying at Bowen House York, the facilities are great and the proprietor was lovely. Would definitely recommend it and will be going back again. Easy to reach York centre, about a 10 minute walk or bus stop is virtually outside. The breakfasts are fantastic, freshly cooked and plenty of it, also various cereals on offer

We have just returned from a two night weekend stay here.
We stayed in the superior room which was modern, clean and spacious.
The owners were friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was fantastic and you could see everything was of a very high quality with lots of attention to detail.
This is not just your average B&B. It has a really great homely feel, very welcoming.
Our room had two robes, high quality bedding and towels and toiletries.
The location is great, just a short ten minute pleasant river walk to the Center of town with pubs and restaurants on the way.
There is a Sainsbury’s around the corner if needed.

Fantastic stay

Stayed here for three nights and it was a very relaxing time. Guest house is very clean,breakfast delicious with a good selection. Free parking available. The parking works great if you are sensible about it and listen to Diane's arrangements about how to use the parking facilities. About 10 minutes comfortable stroll to city centre.We were able to arrive a little early as we had asked in advance and Diane was very accommodating which we appreciated. Already booked for November.  Thanks Diane and Peter for another great stay. Donna and Tony.

SAME AS EVER....WONDERFUL.

We stayed at Bowen House B&B for three nights .It was spotlessly clean and room had everything we needed .
The Breakfast was really good and s very good choice .
Diane and Peter were very welcoming and friendly .
Diane told us of places to go and recommended places to eat .
If we go to York again we will definitely stay there again .5 stars from us
