After making a last minute booking to extend our holiday, we found Burnley House in 'Yorkshires prettiest village', Hutton-le-Hole.  It was a self check in service the time we arrived, and it was exciting letting ourselves in to this beautiful country house and finding our room.  We were very pleasantly surprised how lovely and spacious our room was, and it was beautifully furnished.
We popped across the road to the Crown pub and had a fabulous pie and chips, then made our way back to our digs while admiring stars in the gorgeously clear night sky (no light pollution here), and listening to owls hooting in the trees. 
The bed was super comfy with nice soft pillows so we had a great nights sleep.
We went down to the dining room for breakfast where there was a wonderful fireplace, with a warm log fire burning.  We also got a warm welcome from Ruth, who was really friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us.  
Breakfast was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented.   
We wouldn't hesitate to book Burnley House again, and look forward to our next visit.

Just Lovely!

Thank you for a great night. Everything was just perfect. The room was lovely, slept so well. Breakfast was just right. In fact the whole place was exceptional. Rachael and Ruth are so welcoming, nothing too much trouble. Definitely will be back.

Excellent accommodation and hosts

Beautiful house in an ideal location. The room was spacious and immaculately clean with a very large bath room. It was good to relax in the large bath at the end of a busy day. The host was very welcoming and served an excellent breakfast. We will stay here again when we are next in the area.

Beautiful house in an ideal location

Amazing B&B, we've stayed in Ruth and Rachel's accommodation before and new we'd have a good experience. Warm welcome for the dogs and the dog friendly room was spacious and ideal. The breakfast was lovely prepared and ample to start your day off to a good start. Good night sleep and amazing walks near by. 

Home from home

Lovely overnight stay in the Bransdale room. Room was large, comfortable and clean with a fantastic view. Communication from the hosts was spot on and check in was smooth and simple.
We were lucky enough to get a sunny September Saturday so after a walk round the village and a pint in the beer garden of The Crown we plonked our weary bottoms on the handy garden furniture in the gardens of the B&B and enjoyed a glass of wine.
Breakfast was an absolute treat. Plentiful fresh chopped fruit was delicious to start followed by the tastiest full English we've had in a long while.
Hosts are friendly and welcoming and we are already wondering if we can fit another visit in before the winter kicks in.

Can't wait to revisit

This is a lovely B and B with good sized cosy and well equipped rooms. The welcome and service were top notch and nothing was too much trouble.  The breakfast was excellent.  Because we were a group of friends, it was wonderful to be able to sit together in the lounge on an evening with a roaring fire. In a beautiful village too.

Delightful B and B

Our only regret about our stay with Ruth and Rachael was that it was only for two nights.
Hutton-le-hole is extremely pretty and well situated between the moors for walking and the Hemlsley/Pickering/Malton attractions. The old Georgian house is full of character and R and R have been doing a great job renovating it. Our bedroom was really beautiful and there was a very restful vibe. Breakfasts were excellent with lots of little thoughtful touches. Our first morning there was damp and grey and when we came down for breakfast Ruth had a cheerful fire blazing in the dining room. 
Both Ruth and Rachael were very helpful in recommending walks, eateries, rainy day options - it IS Yorkshire. It was very obvious that they love welcoming people to their new home and they are very enthusiastic about their new project and the surrounding area. We look forward to staying with them again for a bit longer and exploring more of the moors.

Great Place

The two new ladies have made this place a lovely place to stay. Lovely and quiet and very clean, and great Breakfasts. They can not do to much for you. Would we go back, sure would and it's handy in the middle of the Moors, and close to the coast.

Great. Place to stay

We visited Burnley Country House for our Wedding Anniversary and had a fantastic stay. We stayed in a beautiful four poster room with fabulous views from the bedroom and bathroom. Ruth and Rachael are brilliant hosts and can provide loads of local information they recommended local walks and brilliant local pubs to eat. Breakfast was also great with fruit salad, cereals, pastries juices and a lovely cooked breakfast which was cooked to perfection. Early breakfast was accommodated to enable us to get to the steam train in good time. Thank you for a wonderful stay we will definitely be returning. We can thoroughly recommend a stay in this lovely part of the country with fantastic hosts .

Wedding Anniversary getaway

We saw this hotel featured in the Telegraph and thought we’d give it a try - so glad we did. We stayed in the dog-friendly Rydale which was spacious, clean and very comfortable, especially the king size bed. 
Breakfasts were superb and Rachael treated us to an excellent Eggs Benedict on our last day.
Rachael and Ruth were wonderful, warm hosts and were great with our dog, Mitch. 
We loved staying in this hotel in the beautiful village of Hutton-le-Hole and will definitely return.
