Our twin room was small but at £73 for one night, it was still value for money. The room was clean and  warm and the beds were comfortable.  The staff were friendly and helpful. We ate in the pub downstairs and the meals were tasty and not expensive. The hotel does not have its own car park but we were lucky and found a space on the street outside.

Nice hotel with good service. Can recommend.

Stayed here last minute after a difficult week at work. Warm friendly welcome, lovely cosy room with high quality bedding. Great 8 hours sleep waking up refreshed and feeling so much better. Highly recommended.

Lovely stay

I searched for dog friendly places to eat and this popped up. Booked easily. It was quiet when we arrived and the barman was very friendly. My husband was happy with the choice of beers on offer, there was a great selection of food on the menu. I had curry and he had fishcakes both of which were excellent. The dog really enjoyed herself and so did we. We are already planning to go back.

Excellent meal

Stayed here in a twin room with a friend.
Room basic but clean and comfy.
Down side no wardrobe.
However Michael, the manager and his staff were delightful, so very friendly kind and helpful in every way.
Big shout out to the hard working lady chef who single handedly made us 2 lovely evening meals.

The Fox Inn Guisborough

Came here for lunch a few days ago was pleasantly surprised , fantastic food with great value for money prices, the chips were homemade and Chunky as all pub chips should be , the beef and the chicken were cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend for either lunch with a pint or a cheap dinner before heading into town , the glamorous barmaid was very welcoming and made our visit much more enjoyable. 
We will definitely be coming back 


Quality pub 

We have been in a couple of times. The welcome is warm from the bar staff and our dog was welcomed. There is a special dog welcome area with water bowls, treats and dry towels. On Tuesday 17th Sept 2019 we had a lovely meal and the bar man Michael was welcoming friendly, and helpful. I would recommend this pub. Did not use the hotel facilities.

Food and service

We booked in here to stay for a family function in the town, had read mixed reviews but ignored them all.

What a great place perfect position,staff so spot on and couldn’t do enough for you.
 
Excellent value for money, clean and just brilliant.

If you read reviews from people moaning about music on a Saturday night ignore them it’s such a big thing for this great place one of the biggest attractions in the area.

We travel extensively and The Fox gives exactly what you want , no frills but good service with a massive smile.

Please don’t change you are doing a fantastic job.

How lovely

Great place to stop, staff are so friendly and go the extra mile from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave.  The meal was lovely and very good value for money.  such a lovely atmosphere and very welcoming.  The perfect place to stop for a truly fantastic meal.

Absolutely fantastic meal

We were a last minute booking after finding 27 Redcar road guisborough an absolute mess looked like some down out was living there and won’t refund disgrace .
But The Fox gave us a room the price was very good and the room was immaculate ! Staff amazing landlord was very friendly and friendly , we will surely use The Fox again beware of the other at all costs .

Our stay was fabulous

Have been here before and the food was awful greasy under cooked and over cooked but heard they had a new chef and food was good.so took a chance and big improvement !!will come again.staff as always cheerful and polite can never fault them.
