The entire visit was fantastic. For the cost of the room for one night, We were pleasantly surprised by pretty much everything. From the moment we arrived with the ability to park the truck and trailer so easily with the spacious parking lot, to the hospitality of the staff, and the room was beyond expectations. This will be a definite first choice to stay when we are in the area again.

The hotel was cheap, had comfortable beds and a place to stay.  I don't understand why so many people rate hotles 1 or 2 stars when they cost $70 a night.  The room was clean and we slept fine.  I would like to see some better food/proteins at the breakfast though.  But otherwise, for the price a fine place.

Fine hotel

The lobby was clean, the halls were clean and yes, I actually walked them. I got a non smoking room on second floor and I didn’t smell anything. The room was also clean. If I wanted to nit pick and do the white glove thing I would most likely find issues but, nice staff at 10pm on a holiday, I think they deserve good reviews. I will be here for two months so we’ll see what the next review will look.

On the whole a good stay. Back door was never locked. Bar on either side of the hotel. Room was ok. New tub surround. Looking under the toilet seat it was dirty. Internet was ok. If you just need a place to sleep and dash it is alright. Not a great place to go for a walk.

Adequate on the surface

Hotel is very basic, service is poor and rooms are low quality.  If you stay there, recommend staying on the 2nd floor.  On the first floor you can hear every footstep of the unit above you, very annoying.  Internet was down our entire stay (4 days).  Room smelled like smoke, so if you are a non-smoker you will not be happy.

Beresford Super 8

Before I describe our stay, let me explain that our family typically stays in budget motels. All we ask is a clean and quiet place to sleep. So this review is not a case of someone expecting a high-end experience at a budget hotel.

We booked this while on the road and choose a nonsmoking room. We arrived late after driving in a storm and found that hotel was completely booked, so we were glad to have booked ahead. Our room, while technically a nonsmoking room, had clearly been used by smokers. The smell was strong in the room and there were cigarette burns in the bedspreads. 

The sheets and towels seemed clean and the hotel was booked, so I took extra allergy medicine and we just toughed it out. The room was reasonably clean, but they clearly vacuum only in the middle of the carpet; the corners and edges were extremely dusty. I decided I'd sleep better if I didn't think about other cleaning corners they may have missed. 

In the morning, I woke to heavy footsteps above us; that's not the hotel's fault, but just the risk you take when you get a room on the ground floor. When heavy footsteps resumed around 7am, however, I wondered. I slipped upstairs to check it out before going to breakfast and found that the rooms above us were being cleaned at that hour of the morning on a Sunday! (No vacuum in sight, however. Not surprising given the state of our own carpet.)

Terrible for maintenance, toilet rocked raised tiles, sharp edges, missing grout, bathroom door had to be slammed to be closed, bathroom was pretty dirty, breakfast was terrible. I can not recommend this hotel to anyone. Just poorly unkept and managed 

Beware, low to no maintenance and very unclean. Pool is out of order

We showed up and checked our beds and thank god we did. I thought maybe I entered a murder scene but not sure what was on our bed.  DO NOT RECOMMEND!!  The rooms smell awful and are so filthy. Not pleased at all for what we all walked into. Rather would've slept in an ACTUAL murder scene than this mess! The rooms smelt like mold and skunk. Had to take a 3 hour shower just to get over this traumatic experience!

IS THIS A MURDER SITE OR JUST THAT GROSS!?

Super 8 in Beresford is terrible! The person running that place needs to go!! Spoke with local people who also agree should have stayed across the street.. Beware of this rundown motel and rude people!!!!!

My rating is a minus 5!

I booked this reservation through Priceline. Our trip got canceled because of the snowstorm we were traveling to Beersford from Spearfish almost 6 1/2 hours they charged me the full amount $150 is what it cost me to not stay at this hotel, I would never recommend this to anyone.
