Everything was fine. This is a solid budget hotel. Clean room, comfortable bed, hot water, A/C worked fine and free Wi-Fi.

The town of Burney is small and anything you need during your stay - gas station, grocery store, restaurant, etc. - is within a couple minutes drive of the hotel.

Had a great stay

I wasn’t sure where to stay, since I hadn’t been through this area before. I was happily surprised to find a clean, comfy, roomy motel. It’s close to McArthur-Burney Falls (gorgeous), and right in the small town of Burney, and across from a charming bowling alley! I’d stay here again. The drive through Modoc National Forest is epic! It’s these little surprises that make a road trip worthwhile.

Darling motel!

Wonderful place! Simple decor, but comfortable and spotlessly clean. A group of us stayed there while on a fly fishing trip in the area — some in regular rooms and some in the end unit which is a 2 BR cottage with a living room/dining area and a full-sized kitchen. We were able to save a lot of money by cooking & eating our own breakfasts in the cottage and used their outdoor grill for hamburgers one night. It’s perfect for a family or any kind of group.

Comfortable & spotlessly clean; also great for groups

Burney is a neat small Northern California town. McArthur-Burney Falls is definitely one of the Most Beautiful Falls that I've ever seen. Also visited & hiked to all 3 McCloud Falls. Upper, Middle & Lower Falls. Middle is most impressive of the 3 but is a fairly strenuous hike down to it. You can partially see it from the top but not as impressive as down below. All well worth the visit

Finally a Trip to MacArthur-Burney Falls

This little motel is delightful. Basic, not at all fancy-like, but a pleasant place to stay in quaint little Burney. We selected Green Gables because they allowed our dog. There’s a nice doggy relief area behind the motel. The pines smell good here. No shampoo or blow dryer

Basic but Delightful

Room was clean and comfortable.  AC and internet worked well.  Bed very comfortable.
Is an older property but cute and generally well maintained.  Cleaning staff very friendly and helpful.  Excellent value.
Lady that checks you in could be more welcoming.
One thing that would make a big difference is to have a light in the area where you store your luggage.  It’s very dark back there and having a light would make it much easier to find things when rummaging through your suitcase looking for things.
Hardly major gripes though.

We stayed here for a few nights, mainly due to proximity to Burney Falls.  Easy drive to the park, and close to  restaurants and grocery store with helpful staff.  Green Gables had plenty of room, clean, quiet, easy check in with pleasant staff.  Would liked to have had more time to check out the town itself.  

Great Stay at reasonable cost

The staff was super friendly! The motel is cute and very clean. My room had a fridge, microwave and cutely decorated. The bed was comfortable and the linens were nice. It is dog friendly and areas to take pets out for potty time. There’s bbq and picnic tables to enjoy outdoors. I really liked this place. Stores nearby for necessities.

Super cute friendly motel

We stayed in the King/Double/Twins suite at the back corner of the property for two nights while in the area for hiking and waterfall chasing.  The room was clean upon checking in - the floors were clean, the bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean, and the kitchen was clean.  The suite had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and rest during our trip in the area.  
Parts of the suite and some of the furniture certainly showed some age and wear and tear (e.g., a hole in the arm of a recliner, the kitchen table had a rough finish, and there were some marks and scuffs on the walls), but it wasn't that bad.  The property itself was well-maintained but a little on the older side, and we felt safe there at night.  It was also very quiet, especially being so close to the road!  Didn't hear a thing until the morning trucks started going by.
The beds were clean and comfortable, and the towels were soft and thick.  The kitchen was fully stocked and the silverware and glassware were clean.  Since there aren't too many choices for lodging in the area, the Green Gables offered a nice stay in a beautiful part of California.
All in all, a clean, comfortable stay for our adventures in the area.  

Clean, Comfortable Stay from Courteous Hosts

If you are looking for fancy accommodations, Burney is not the place to stay.  Green Gables was a great choice for our family.  We stayed three nights and used it as a base for our day trips.  It was clean and  the staff was helpful (although because of Covid, they only provide room attention when requested).  They have facilities where we could barbecue one night.  We brought a corn hole game and played on their lawn.  It is older but it is very clean, quiet and was a great value.  If we had been able to start planning our trip earlier, I would have requested a room with kitchenette but they were all taken when I called.  The microwave and small fridge worked out just fine.  If you have reason to stay in Burney I  recommend this location.
