First off you should not expect much if you stay at a $65 hotel, but this hotel was clean and had spacious rooms. The hotel is right off the highway, convenient and lower than the highway, so if you get an inside room it wasn’t noisy .The manager/ owner Ted is such a nice person and he really wants you to have a nice stay. If you are on a road trip on Hwy 5 in California it’s a perfect place to stop for the night. They have a nice continental breakfast set out in the morning, which is great for an early start . If we pass by there again we will definitely be back.

Clean, friendly, safe and inexpensive

It was so hot outside and this motel was perfect, starting with the front desk personnel.  My room was clean, nice and comfortable and faced a green grass courtyard. But most importantly, the air conditioning worked GREAT! My shower was fabulous and the bed was so comfy that I woke up before I even knew I had fallen asleep.  If you need a place to stop after being on the long and unending road, this is the place for a quiet break.

Great place to Stay!

After our brief stay we realized that we had left a few items. One of which was extremally valuable and a necessity. I contacted them immediately and was finally successful after a few attempts. Ted had assured me that he would personally look into it himself and would call me back. He did just that and found our items! He left them where the following staff would not have a problem locating when we were finally able to return!

TED & STAFF ARE AWESOME!

I'm not sure what people are expecting for $60. National 9 provided what I needed -  and then some. If I was in need of a luxury property, I would have stayed elsewhere and paid triple. But I didn't need luxury on this occasion. I am in the process of relocating from Dallas to Palo Alto. On this day, I intended to drive to Bakersfield for an overnight stay. I am driving a 26' Penske truck, however, and pulling my car on a trailer behind it. That severely limits my parking options. So I passed Bakersfield and landed here in Butttonwillow. The front desk staff could not have been friendlier, directing me to park my 'rig' in front of the office so I can get out easily. And because I just need to sleep and shower, all I need is a clean bed and a bathroom. My standards for this stay were not high, but I would recommend particularly to solo traveler wanting basic accommodations for the lowest possible price for a night. It gets 5 stars for my parameters for this stay. And let me again say - the front desk clerk could not have been more friendly.

Served My Purpose

This is honestly, the best motel I’ve ever stayed in, and I’ve stayed in motels throughout Canada, Seattle, Portland, etc. The price is super affordable. The room is VERY clean. The staff were super accommodating, and I would DEFINITELY stay here again! I recommend bring your own towels/toiletries but the AC works, no bugs, the room is clean, and the beds are reasonably comfortable and I’ll definitely stay here without hesitation again.

Best Motel Ever!

Place is clean and has great on the go breakfast and friendly staff. It also has a pool and great places to eat that are very close by. There is a Starbucks right next door, as well as some Taco Trucks, Popeyes, Taco Bell.  Will be stopping by again

Great stop off the I-5

This was a clean motel easily food from the Interstate. Rooms had comfortable beds, refrigerators with frozen section, and microwave. Due to COVID the office was closed, but you could get a sack breakfast at the registration window consisting of two sweets, a yogurt, and a juice. Coffee was not available at the motel, but there was a Starbucks close by. I would stay again.

Clean motel at reasonable price

This used to be a Super 8. Not sure what happened but it has slipped. It was easily acceptable from 5 and was fairly clean but very dated. The continental breakfast was remarkably small. Overall, if you pay 43$, this is what you will get.

You get what you pay for

it was a nice hotel, there were to many bugs around but because of the location otel management cannot solve this problem. room was enough for one night stay while travelling to vegas. the breakfast was ok

sufficient price and quality

sleep & shower. thats it. sketchy people around. smelled weed all nite outside. staff nice. price good. didnt try bkfst. close to freeway & food.
