My family and I were looking for a place to stay in York PA but because of a soccer tournament and whatever else was happening Memorial Day weekend, this is was literally the only hotel available close to us. (30 mins away) First off, its pretty sketchy. It reminded me a ton of the movie, The Shinning. The smells are a bit weird and the shower really creeped me out. But with new owners they are taking it room by room to do updates. I did stay in a two bedroom updated one and besides the shower it actually wasn't too bad. But I did keep my shoes. We needed somewhere to stay that was pet friendly and it suited just that. And bonus, there is a Waffle House right next door. So if you are in need and have no where else to go over Memorial Day Weekend, this is what we picked and it wasn't too bad! Could have been worse :)

I booked this for my parents and their friends, once they checked in and I saw what I had book them I felt sooo bad! They said they were fine but drawers were falling off dressers, couch in room looked so dirty I wouldn't sit on it.
carpets were dirty, and the hall and rooms had an odour to them.
It could use a complete overhaul.

Absolutely disgusting and cockroaches all over the place and room leaking water from the cieling the smells were awefull no respect from the manager never book a room here people are bringing pets inside barking dog's were herd coming from the other roommates terrible

Discussed

Husband and wife in the town of Carlisle, PA for the Carlisle car show. Booked a room at the  Diamond Inn. Were arrived and were given room 257. After being out walking and site seeing, we wanted to return to our room and relax. As we pulled back the cover's, there were bed bugs. Scrambling all over the bed. We contacted management, all they did was give us a different room. Very unhealthy room.

Bed Bugs- Disgusting

Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else, anywhere else !!! Horrible, old, smelly, broken hotel. Rooms are a disgrace. Broken lights, broken furniture, missing furniture, broken doors, unlit hallways +++. Owner, manager & clerks will lie to you & change their story 5 times in 5 minutes.
Even if it was free it would be overpriced !!!
We had 7 rooms booked for a car show, we refused to stay in this dump. We ended up in a hotel 20+ miles away - but believe me, it was worth it. 
Also, watch for name change from Knights Inn. It may have a new name soon, but it's still the same horrible hotel. ( check by address)

The halls smelled of smoke. The room had a broken lampshade and was in disrepair. The room gave me an unpleasant feeling that it was not clean. We booked this hotel while driving and the staff member took our credit card information so it was not refundable. It turned out the clerk did not give us the correct exit and we spent another 20 minutes on the road retracing our drive. He said he called and texted but I received nothing. The ad states they had a breakfast but they did not. There was a Sleep Inn across the street that was packed for the night. Too bad we could not have stayed there. After sleeping in the room I woke up with the worst case of bronchitis ever. Do not stay here.
