Stopped off here to break the journey on our way from Rhode Island to the Canadian border. Out of town, but only a 20 min drive into town for shops and restaurants. Run by a very nice Asian family who welcomed us pleasantly. Nice room, very clean and comfortable with a fridge, TV and a micro wave, hair dryer, coffee machine. There was no where to have breakfast so you went down to reception for tea/coffee muffins, Danish pastries, juice, cereals, fruit and took it back to your room on trays where there was a table and chairs provided to eat at. It was situated on a main road, but the double glazing was good and it did not disturb. Thoroughly recommend it

Charming place

Great price and very clean, beds were comfortable. Are was quiet at night .Perfect for a short stay. Friendly staff and not far from Watkins Glenn State Park and Cornell University. Beautiful views in the area. 

Great place!

Went to pick up our daughter at college, didn't want to drive the 4 1/2 hours back home the same day. So we stayed at Embassy Inn Motel. Very nice motel. Family owned. Not busy the day we went so it was quiet. Room was typical motel style, bathroom was a little small with shower( no tub) with pink tile. Bed was very comfortable. It had a desk with two chairs and a mini fridge. The only thing is they had the fridge under the heater so nothing really stayed that cold.  Breakfast was coffee, pre packaged muffins and pastries, bananas and cereal. They also have water for sale($1 a bottle).  Would stay here again when in the area.

Embassy Inn Motel in Ithaca, NY

The Embassy Inn, is in a quiet area, far away from downtown Ithaca and Collegetown, but not so far away to make it not worthwhile.   It's about 3 miles, or so, from Cornell Orchards.   The office is clean and warm, and the owners were nice enough.   There's a book in the lobby of local restaurants and menus, and some activities (like the Farmer's Market).  It's easy to park in front of your room if your room is on the ground floor.   We found the room and bathroom to be clean and spacious.  The motel provides a nice smelling and lathering shampoo, and 2 soaps (bath soap nice size).  They don't provide lotion or conditioner.  My only complaints were that in the tub and toilet area, the only lighting came from the sink area, or you could turn on heat lamps.  I felt that there also should have been a regular light in that area (Who wants heat lamps when the temp is already warm?), and that the walls are paper thin; I was able to hear the conversation of the men in the next room, very audibly, while I was lying in bed, and they were talking in a normal voice.  There's no seating in the breakfast area, but you're welcome to take cereal or baked goods to your room.  My son and I were both happy with the cereal selection; we really didn't need anything else.  They even had perfect bananas, and apples, and the orange juice was good.  
I would definitely stay here again.

Spacious and clean

Ok, I’m in Ithaca and I wanted to save some money. The place is dated but clean. The room was small (#5) but the bathroom was smaller than any microtel I have stayed in. The bed was fine, TV was not flat screen and the internet was functional. Unfortunately I have been in worse. 

Smallest bathroom ever

This was the furthest thing from high end.  It was clean and the service was very friendly.  I wouldn't pay more than like $85 a night for it though.  It's a place to go if you're getting in late and need a place to just crash in and then get up and go from.

Not Very High End - But Friendly

We stayed one night at this motel to pick up our daughter at Cornell. The motel is about 5 min from the campus. Room is small but clean. You get an actual key, not a key card. The breakfast is not bad. There were Dunkin Dounuts, prepackaged muffins, fruits, coffee, tea, juice. The owner was very nice.

Clean

We had stayed here many times in the past.  The facility needs serious updating, but for the price it wasn't too bad. 

Due to Covid, we needed to postpone our trip.  We were told we could re-book and our deposit will be used  for another stay.  When I tried to do just that, the proprietor said that time has passed and then had the nerve to ask if I was interested in booking again.  No thanks!

Be Wary About Leaving a Deposit with a Check

We paid $100 to stay here Sunday night.  The door doesn’t close so they put a cable on the door to keep it closed.  The refrigerator didn’t work.  The beds are HARD and I’m only 5’4” and my feet hung off the end of the bed.  There was no soap to wash your hands or body.  Never staying here again. This was our first hotel experience in Ithaca.  We didn’t want to spend a lot of money, we were just visiting a college, but this hotel is at best a $40 per night hotel.
