This motel is a hidden gem! I stayed recently for 1 night and it was exactly what we needed for our trip. 

The owners are on site and are super friendly, they have put effort and time into their business and it shows! The bathtub here was installed and sealed better than the one at my apartment, the sheets were fresh and clean (no bedbugs or insects in our room), and the room smelled clean. Not like "it smells like air freshener that is meant to cover up something". It was just...clean. No strong smells at all.

The only thing that wasn't nice was the beds. The mattresses were firmer than I am used to, and the pillows were floppy, but it's not a deal breaker for me.

Overall it was great! If I go back to Lake Chelan I will absolutely stay here again!

The health department made and inspection on August 7th, 2019. after this incident, the result is no finding of any of insects of any kind. We have a copy of the report  for anyone to see.
We have many familys that come every year that leave very happy.
Thank you everybody that came to stay with us.

I truly can not believe there are 6 reviewers who said the place is terrible! Ignore them and trust the 6 people who rated excellent or good. 
Our (Canadian) family has stayed at Lake Chelan Motel 14 times over the past 16 years. The owners Rudy and Clara are like family to us now, and they feel the same way. 
However (and this may be the 6 terrible reviews) they do not tolerate rudeness, disrespect  or loud party people who disrespect other patrons. We have no problem with this or them.
Rudy and Clara are hardworking and kind people who (if treated with respect) will go out of their way for their customers.
In the past (during off season) they have helped people down on their luck by offering rooms at a very low monthly rate or even free in one particular case.
Great people, great inexpensive and clean place to stay. And a nice pool with a lake view.

Long time visitor to Chelan and Lake Chelan Motel

My husband made the reservation  for 2 nights. He talked to Clara, she is the owner of the cute motel. She was very helpful and very friendly. 

I am a travel agent and I know about hotels and let me tell you it is well managed, the room was very clean and comfortable.

They keep the green area where the park is well maintain. We will go back again!

Lake Chelan with our 6 years old daughter!

Showing up in Lake Chelan late afternoon with no reservations, we had a wander around and thought the Lake Chelan Motel looked cute.  To be honest, we picked it because they had a room, and the pricing was reasonable.
What a pleasant surprise.  At the time they were just putting the finishing touches on a significant exterior update and it really looked good.  Great pool area, nice room with older – as in nice style older, not old and worn out – furnishings, place on the grass outside to sit.  And the owners were just downright lovely and friendly.  Would definitely stay there again.

We've stayed here 3 separate occasions now and have had a great time.  In fact we've booked a 4th time in August and can't wait to come back. We've found the owners gracious and accommodating every time. This place is simple but extremely well kept and clean. The owners work tirelessly to keep the grounds pristine. There's a beautiful pool that we used most of the days we were there. The owners home overlooked the pool and not once did we feel like we were intruding in their space. In fact it seems as though they stayed away to give the guests privacy.  For the price and location of this Motel I couldn't recommend a better place to stay. There's a playground, basketball court and BBQ's available for the guests. Some of the rooms have kitchens as well. The owners are incredible, helpful and ensure that everyone's stay is perfect. There's a small beach within walking distance.

Nice place to stay

The place on it's own is underwhelming. The room was ok and the pool was nice, but parking is horrendous. Each room gets a little car port thing, but if people drove a bigger truck or a room had more than one car (which it seemed like everyone staying there did the weekend we were there) it was kind of a nightmare. I had to park essentially on our room's doorstep on the next room over's bumper to make it work. 

That being said you're about a 3 minute walk from the lake and a 10 minute drive from downtown which made it worth it for us. 

If you're looking at staying here stay for the location, but don't expect miracles from the room.

Awesome location!

WARNING: BEDBUGS AND FLY INFESTATION!!! I stayed in Room 3 at the Lake Chelan Motel over the weekend and had to endure being bitten by bedbugs in the bed closest to the window and deal with a fly infestation in their bathroom. The managers showed no concern and did not compensate me for the experience and only offered me a gift card to Olive Garden that I declined after she said that it was for her son's birthday present. I'm very disappointed with the service and lack of hospitality of this place and I do not recommend staying here unless you'd like to risk being eaten alive. If this happens to anybody while they stay here, do not hesitate to contact the Washington State Department of Health and the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce as I did. I've attached photos as evidence! This is completely UNACCEPTABLE and it will put your HEALTH AT RISK!

Bedbug and Fly Infestation

My husband, my 11 years old son and me rented a room in Lake Chelan Motel for a weekend. Unfortunately we have to say we had a bad experience here.

This motel is attended by Clara and Rudy (managers)
On Friday night we went to the pool with our son and when Rudy approach to us to say : "Hi", we noticed clearly that he was drunk.

Saturday morning (9:40 a.m.) we went to the reception office and nobody was there (???).
When finally Rudy appears he was wearing his bathrobe and with evident signs he was still drunk.
When we complain about we had NO Internet (they rent the room saying :"WI FI Access") he just said he couldn't do nothing and if we want...we can leave (!!!) and show us a sign :  "NO REFUNDS".

Now I know why they charge in advance and have that sign !!!

Like customers that pay for a service they say they will provide, we deserve a minimum of respect (same we gave to them).
This incident is unacceptable. We are not going back to that place anymore and we think it will be helpful for future guests to know about our bad experience.
