I travel constantly for work, and this was the most inexpensive weekly rate I could find.  Room was clean, had cable, and I wasn't bothered. The only bad experience I had was that my room key kept losing its charge.

Good for Week in the City

We arrived on a Friday afternoon. Our room was ready but we were not ready for the surprise that was waiting for us. We were in a king/suite. When we walked in to the bedroom we noticed a big wet spot that was coming out of the air conditioner, and the remote control did not work for the t.v.  We called the front desk and someone came right up to fix it.Theguy they sent up to fix the remote said they already knew about tthe wet floor. I don't know why they let us check in to that room if it was in such poor condition. They sent another guy up with a shop vac to clean it up, but it was only temperary.  Little did we know then, the air conditioner was stuck on high and when someone in the next room was smoking it blew full force in to our room. The pool looked filthy and the hot tub that has been broken for years is still broken. The toilet seat was also broken. They did move us to another room in the morning and all the issues were resolved. The breakfast was very average.  The eggs were terrible, hard and rubbery but the coffee and the made to order waffles were good.There was no sausage or bacon. Very bare bones breakfast.  We did have strawberries and whipped cream .  We had a deal where you paid for two nights and got the third free. It averaged out to $72 a night. Good location for the zoo and science museum.
Since my younger children really enjoy swimming I would choose a location with a better pool next time. If I were traveling with my family again I would choose a hotel in a better neighborhood.  This one was scary in the daytime. I am glad we did not have to go out after dark.

Beware of good deals.

We stayed here as a last resort.  It had beds covered in plastic.  A notice at the desk saying "No visitors" and that the police would be called.  A cancellation policy that included language about no refunds if you try to cancel AFTER you've checked in (and presumably used the room.)  It all adds up to a motel that would be better off advertising rents by the hour to avoid confusion for regular travelers.  "Nonsmoking" rooms that smell like an overflowing ashtray.  Broken toilet.  Disgusting carpet.  Broken fixtures.  "Clean" towels that were damp to the touch.  Sketchy people hanging out at the front desk.  You'd be better off driving to another city to stay somewhere or finding a safe place and sleeping in your car.

DON'T STAY HERE. SLEEPING IN YOUR CAR IS A BETTER OPTION.

This hotel was terrible value.  I stayed in this place for only one night, but that was more than enough.  The hotel was dirty and uninviting.  The room was drab and reeked of cigarette smoke (although it was supposed to be a non-smoking room).  The carpeting was dirty and patched.  The furniture was cheap and dinged up.  The room was poorly lit.  Overall, the room was uncomfortable and depressing.

The hotel itself felt unsafe: it had no lobby, and the office was barricaded behind bullet-proof glass. The place had a lot of unsavory types who seemed to be just hanging around.  I got out of there as quickly as possible in the morning and was glad to be gone.  In short, this was probably one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had, including some pretty wild stays in impoverished parts of the Third World.

Do yourself a favor: stay somewhere else.
