Mike and Stacie are wonderful friendly hosts. You feel so welcome and their home is beautiful. It reflects the love and kindness they put into the fabulous accommodations and the 5 star breakfast. We have stayed there a few times and never want to leave. I would recommend this lovely place anytime of the year. Within the friendly little town of Deep River to the neighboring towns of Essex and Old Saybrook you can find so much to do. Definitely a diamond of a place to stay. Donna & Ed Monahan

Most beautiful place to stay

Such a charming place!  Took my mom for an overnight not too far from where she resides.  Just as we pulled in, Mike greeted us by name and had me bring the car up right in front so my 97-year old mom didn’t have to walk far.  We were captivated by the colonial elegance of this 1854 inn which was so beautifully decorated for Christmas.  Our room was spacious and bright with all the amenities (toiletries, water). The bed was very comfortable with plush comforter, pillows and linens.  Loved the fireplace in the common sitting room. Breakfast by Stacie was scrumptious—fresh fruits, frittata and blueberry muffins along with coffee and tea.  I would stay there again in a heartbeat and have been spreading the good word to other friends in New England.  Thank you, Mike and Stacie. 

Put this on your Must-go List!

We’ve been to the inn several times and will continue to do so. The area around the inn is very ‘New England’ charm.  We have never had a bad experience there. Mike and Stacie are wonderful hosts. They remember their guests by name and   are always interested in what everyone is doing and always have great recommendations for places to eat and see.

Excellent Inn

Very lovely home with great attention to historic theme. Well-appointed, spotlessly clean rooms, filled with everything one might need. Warm and inviting hosts, amazing and delicious breakfast, reasonable cost. Loved the relaxing room with working fireplace!  Would absolutely visit again. 

Charming, historical inn

Wonderful experience. The inn is charming, our room was comfortable and quiet, and the innkeepers are pros who made everyone feel welcome while juggling the specific quirks and preferences of a constantly changing roster of guests. It's worth seeking out and worth visiting again.

What good B&Bs should be like but most often aren't

Riverwind was perfect for a quick overnight get away. Mike and Stacie were charming hosts and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked through the door. We found plenty of room the spread out. Our room was perfectly suited for relaxation. We loved that it was only a short walk to restaurants and shops. Breakfast was delicious and the easy conversation with the host was a benefit. Highly recommend Riverwind Inn !

Awesome overnight get away.

Amazing stay!  I loved every minute of my stay at the Riverwind Inn Bed & Breakfast.  My room (hearts & flowers) was super cozy and comfortable.  Breakfast was outstanding.  Stacie & Mike are lovely.  I would absolutely stay here again (and in the same room) - 5 stars all the way!

Mike and Stacie were perfect hosts for our anniversary weekend. The Inn was very comfortable and they made sure we felt welcome giving advice when we needed it.
The breakfast was healthy and plentiful.

Deep River welcome

What an amazing stay at Riverwind Inn Bed & Breakfast. This was our first time staying at a Bed & Breakfast and we were not disappointed. Frankly, I think our standards for future stays at other B&B's have been set very high. Stacie and Mike were nothing but warm and welcoming upon our arrival. The moment you walk into the Inn you feel like this sense of coziness and hominess. Mike gave us a quick tour to show us the lay of the land and then we headed to our room which was perfect for our stay. We stayed in "Willow" which was a first floor bedroom with an ensuite bath and porch. We had requested a bottle of champagne for our room which was waiting for us upon arrival. The room was spotless and plush robes and towels were provided for our stay. The main event and star of our trip had to be the breakfast in the morning. Prior to our stay they had reached out to inquire our likes and dislikes for our breakfast which was a very thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. You can tell that Mike and Stacie have a major appreciation for food, as do we. Mike and Stacie were also very knowledgeable about the area and gave us ideas on where and where not to explore. We will definitely be returning for a future stay. Thank you, Stacie & Mike! 

Perfect weekend getaway

We can’t say enough about this wonderful property. We stayed over  for Valentines Day and were so very impressed with this B&B. Mike and Stacie are such gracious,  friendly hosts and go the extra mile to ensure everything is perfect. Our room was spotless, the bed was superb and the common area we used with the wood stove was a perfect place to relax after dinner. The wide planked floors are beautifully kept and every area of the inn was meticulous. 

Our homemade breakfast was second to none. Looking forward to a couple nights in the warmer weather so we can enjoy the patio, fire pit and all the flowers.
