We had a wonderful experience at the ranch. The property is expansive and very beautiful. The staff was awesome and pleasant,  they were so very helpful with all our needs and questions. We were here for 4 wheeling and Kent (Skillet) the cook made us 
lunches to take with us as well as his delicious meals we were served. Vic guided us on a tour with our 4 wheelers. The trail horses are very well trained and easy to ride. If you want a real cowboy experience they can provide this also. Kendra was well versed and able to help us map out our local sightseeing.

Wide open spaces

It has always been my friend´s and my dream to go to the west and live the real cowgirl life. It not only became true but we completely fell in love with the Diamond 7 Bar and the entire family. Kendra and Vic together with their families made our stay an once-in-a-lifetime-experience. If you want to feel home and be integrated in the family life, go to the Diamond 7 Bar!
We rode every day a couple of hours and did everything that has to be done on a ranch: bottle feeding baby cows, fencing, doctoring an injured cow and loooots of cattle drive. Cattle drive definetely became one of the most favourite things to do in life for me!

Live the real cowgirl life in the Wild West

A group of people traveled all the way from New Zealand to stay a week to have an amazing riding and branding holiday. We had tour organisers with us. Unfortunately it began to snow. That’s mother nature’s joke. Aside from that and even without the snow , many many other things else were below par, especially the food. Not one cooked breakfast, meagre and sometimes insufficient lunches and child level dinners. If you like ground beef and pasta then you’ll be fine. Ice cream for dessert. We were a very profitable experience for the ranch as we got catered for at base levels and did jack all. Our tour organisers were required to organise ways to fill our days. Our cabin was really cute but floors dirty and no tea coffee milk. One half had no heater. The main kitchen was a disorganised shambles and it showed in the meals. They were struggling with us on all levels. I don’t recommend even in summer. Oh and another small cabin had no hot water and it took two days or more to fix so those girls had to come to our cabin for a shower. Its like ‘really guys’ thats slack. The yard was knee deep in mud, yet trucks full of roading metal went past lining the drive. How hard to put a load in the corral so we were not carrying heavy saddles through dangerous disgusting mud. We deserve a good refund and as ranch owners you need to address this with our tour guides and sort it fairly.

Arriving for our Advanced Riding and Branding Ranch Tour we were excited and looking forward to the experience. This was for experienced riders looking for real ranch experiences. 
The first inkling we had that the Ranch was not on the same page was when we were told not to bridle our horses they would do it for us this time! Then we were told to ride on the road, make the horses walk if they trotted and follow in a line if off the road. It when downhill from there.
The second worst experience was the food. First night we were welcomed with a BBQ of Steaks and Chicken for nearly every other meal including most lunches were dished up some form of Ground beef including ground beef stew one lunch that turned up the next day as ground beef soup.  One day when had been out in the wet and cold and we came into a lunch put out for us of two loaves of bread, 2 packets of sliced cheese and 3 packets of different processed meat. On the second to last night we were told we were having leftovers as they "did not believe in wasting food" so gave it to their paying guests instead.
The cabins were beautiful and the spa pool was blissful at the end of the day but there was old expired food in the fridge, rubbish bins were not emptied and by day 4 we took our towels up to ask them to be washed.

Overall this was a very expensive and very disappointing experience and I would not recommend staying here.

We were never able to do the type of riding we expected, some due to the weather but mostly as the Ranch was not prepared they had no plans for the week, no contingency for bad weather. In reality they were not enthused with their jobs and overall we felt as if we were a chore for them to the extent that we cut our stay short and left a day early.

I have delayed placing this feed back as we were trying to negotiate a refund however this has not happened

Totally Underwelmed

Sadly I found the Ranch disappointing and very over priced for what we got.
A group of us booked the entire ranch for a week in May 2019.
I have taken a while to post feedback, as our tour escort had been in communication with Diamond7Bar regarding a refund.  Diamond7 Bar have ceased communicating.
This was my experience

The horses were not prepared for a week of work.  Their feet needed attention and they were not in good body condition. 
Vic, who was in control of our week was not enthusiastic about getting the horses in in the morning, and the little riding we did do, he treated us like novice riders who were not allowed to ride in front of him, or at a pace faster than a walk. 
We came with the understanding we needed to be comfortable riding for long hours each day, and experienced enough to ride well at three paces. The longest ride we did was likely no more than 2 hours.
The yard we had to walk through several times while preparing horses for the day was over ankle deep in mud, so great care had to be taken that we didn’t slip over.  

The food and the hospitality in the lodge was embarrassing, from the quality and care of our meals, the lack of personal hygiene standards when serving our food.  Rachel often scooped ice-cream off the serving spoon into our bowls with her thumb.
Ground beef was served most evenings, and several lunchtimes. 

We asked at breakfast, on the first day for coffee, tea  and milk for our cabins, and though it was promised it never arrived.

Yet the cupboards and fridges had stale and out of date opened food from previous guests

We weren’t introduced to the office staff, who on one occasion ate directly out of our breakfast serving tray.

The group left the ranch early. Due to our dissatisfaction.
