I was a bit worried after reading other reviews, but the reviews for this hotel were better than for the other budget options off this exit. 
Quite honestly, I wonder what the poor reviewers are expecting for sub-$60, the Hilton??!
The room was large, the shower had the new curved shower curtain rod, adequate pressure and warm temp.
The breakfast is basic continental AS ADVERTISED.
The facility is in good repair overall.  
The bed was very comfortable.
There were no aging, stinky, or otherwise questionable odors that one sometimes encounters at this price point.
The doors are on the outside rather than a hallway AS ADVERTISED.
The clerk was friendly though not overly professional, but he got me what I needed to be comfortable.

In other words, if you wish Holiday Inn or the Hilton PAY those price points, but if you wish clean, comfortable, quiet, spacious accommodations at a really budget-friendly price, this is a great convenient option.

Dabulous Budget-friendly Option!

Stayed in early June. Located for easy access. Easy check in. Rooms were unusually large and perfectly clean. TV with wide variety of channels. Breakfast nook is in fact just one table. I left pretty early and they were still setting up, so I can't vouch for what all might be available in that regard, but I grabbed a mini muffin for the road. Perfectly fine all ways round. Would happily stay in again if traveling through.

Clean, quiet, convenient

clean,quiet,comfortable,quiet,friendly staff  breakfast selections limited but OK,not much seating...like 4 chairs...
but as we were checking out a man with a PIT BULL were checking in...     MAY BE WRONG OF ME BUT I DIDN'T LIKE THAT

minor  complaints  except----

Not a bad place. Large rooms and comfy beds. Spent a week for work, had no internet all week, shower pressure left alot to be desired. Guest washer worked but not the dryer. Office let us use private dryer.
Goods: people were nice and it was quiet. Plenty of eating and shopping in the area.

Very Economy Based

I stay at a lot of Choice hotels. I like them when I just need a cheap place to stay. And they give to the animal shelter in Washington, DC, near where they are based. know when you stay at a Rodeway Inn or an Econolodge you shouldn’t expect much. I’m not picky when booking such economy properties. But this place failed even by that standard. 
1) wifi did not work
2) they did not offer conditioner (for washing hair)
3) the breakfast area seems to be there just to technically check the box that they offer breakfast. It’s so small they shouldn’t even bother 
4) the room had really poorly done drywall repair, not painted or smoothed or even properly “completed. 
5) they only had two bath towels in the room
6) took forever to check in
7) hot water took forever to come.

But despite this, you should not be afraid to stay here. It was perfectly clean, which is the most important thing. I got my night for “free” (for just 8000 Choice points), so it was an ok option — but certainly not my favorite and not really worthy of a great review

Not my favorite Choice Hotel

Not a good experience, Room looked clean until you go into the bathroom. Looked like black mold on the ceiling and cobwebs in the bath/shower with someones long black hair on the tub.The floor looked like a bad attempt with a rag mop. Small refrigerator on the floor (hard to get to for a handicapped person) no microwave, and no clock. Stayed 2 nights(only continued to stay because we only needed the room for sleep as we were gone most of the day and evening) and housekeeping was non existent, and did not replace towels or empty trash. Was checked in by weird looking girl with nose piercings. No one avail for check out so I put our cards on the desk and left. Granted, it is a cheap hotel, but expected a bit more. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

Won't stay again

OK, I got a good deal on the room and it had a large hot tub in the bedroom. It would have been nice if I had a woman with me but as I was alone, I figured I would relax in the Jacuzzi. It would have been nice but after filling the tub with water, I turned the switch to start the bubbler and nothing happened. The knob kept turning and turning and it never went on. Also, the row of track lighting wouldn’t turn on, the Internet was so weak, I used my cellular signal instead. One more thing, the swipe card used to open the door didn’t work. The woman in reception had to use her master card to open the door. Outside of all that, the room was clean and the bed was comfy.

Does anything there work?

We stayed here for one night on a road trip to Chicago. It is off highway 80 so yes, it's very noisy. The door was kind of loose and the door opened directly outside so I did not feel secure at all. The carpet inside the room was damp all over and I am not sure if it's because it was just washed (doubt it) or because the cooling/heating unit was leaking (probably this). The bathroom had random hair all over the tub (hair is a pet peeve so it could just be personal). The front desk staff wasn't friendly and very stoic although to be fair we arrived past 1 a.m. (but still; she could have been a bit more welcoming). The shower water pressure was nonexistent. I usually don't complain in my reviews as I have stayed in cheaper hotels where staff were friendly and rooms were bare but very clean. This room had two queen-size beds but the furniture was dusty and the bathroom hairy, and carpet damp. If you just want to crash and rest while on a trip, it's fine to stay here. Just don't expect more. We were not able to enjoy the complementary breakfast but when the receptionist showed me where the dining area was, it was actually just in the small lobby, no tables and chairs.

I made a reservation on the hotel's website (not a third-party site), only to find out when I arrived at the hotel that they had cancelled my reservation and had no rooms available. They claimed my credit card didn't work, but I had been using it elsewhere with no issues. Even so, they should have let me know they were cancelling the reservation and/or given me the opportunity to verify my card number, instead just springing it on me when I arrived at the hotel. At that point, all the other hotels in town were sold out, so there was nowhere else we could go. Eventually the front desk clerk was able to rent us a room that she said they usually didn't rent out because it didn't have a TV. We were glad to at least have a place to sleep, but angry at being put through so much stress at being told that our reservation "didn't exist" when we arrived at the hotel.

I'm not a review writer. I only write if I'm extremely pleased usually so that good service gets rewarded. And I'm not a hotel snob. I just need clean and mostly quiet usually. This Econo Lodge is maybe the most disgusting hotel/motel I've ever been in. Front door did not lock from the outside. TV had been smashed with the remote by a previous guest. There was not even a doorknob installed on the bathroom door. The comforter on the bed was actually wet. The room was Filthy overall.
