Great place to stay - short stay or long.  Clean, safe & quiet with a central location.  Been staying here on & off from June 2017 - shortly after it was bought by new owners - who are friendly & really care.

Best Value For The Money

Great price,clean, great owner can not go wrong ,  close to everything in the area. I have stayed many times and would stay again. The owners go out of there way to help you and make it a great stay,and the price is the best.

Great pace or the price

I stayed for ine night. Checked in and left for an event. I woke up in the morning and had gotten bitten by bedbugs. I collected them, showed them to the owner and demanded a refund. He absolutely refused using excuses such as I hadn't reported it in the first hour of my stay and the infamous nobody else had complained about it. The hotel is dated, in serious need of updating, had cigarette burns, and stains on the towels and such. I can't believe I had evidence right in front of him and he still refused to give me a refund!

DON'T EVER STAY HERE!!!!

The owner was nice at first but afterwards he was rude. He wouldn’t let my daughter use the bathroom and he turned us down for DSS after we kept the room clean something that wasn’t done before we got there because there was stuff on the floor. Like papers and a hanger. He watches your every move from when you step out of the office until you go to your room. He lied to DSS saying my daughter tried to sneak me into her room when we didn’t even get into the office him and his wife didn’t give me the chance. My ride was there she heard it all. He said “No can’t take you” so did his wife. He calls people bugs (read the reviews) people reported about beg bugs and how he lefts people hang around outside you can’t get much sleep. He didn’t care about my daughters and I being freezing he made us stand outside we couldn’t go into the lobby. That’s not how guests should be treated. As soon as I got out of the car him and his wife said “No can’t take you” he purposely made me waste my rides gas up there instead of telling the case worker he couldn’t take me and my daughter. A horrible experience. But if you’re rude back these hotel owners want to report it to the police or kick you out.

Went to Binghamton  on August 18th for a friend's memorial service and when I mentioned we were staying at the Parkway Inn, one of the locals said "You're staying where?  Oh, I thought that place burned down a couple of years ago."  Parkway Inn is pretty rundown and looks stuck in the 70's motel mode. Our room was on the lower level, down a steep staircase, facing the back of an unaffiliated restaurant/bar in front of this hotel.  Could hear the fans running all night.  

Room smelled of mold, was damp and just didn't look clean.  There was plastic duct-taped over the windows, which showed signs of leakage.  Bathroom ceiling tiles were damp and stained from some kind of leak and there was mold growing inside the faucet handles in the shower.  We checked in late and there were no more rooms available, so had to stay in this room.  By morning I could hardly breathe. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

After I made the reservation through Expedia I noticed the Trip Advisor reviews well down the page. There are a couple from 2016 and 2017 describing this very same room situation, so it appears that nothing has changed in two years.  Wish I had seen them before booking.  When I told the desk manager in the morning about the mold, etc.  he said "Thank you for letting me know.  I'll get our maintenance man to look at it so no other guests have to experience the same situation."   Wonder how many times he's said that since 2017?  There was no offer of a refund or anything.  Even as a last resort I wouldn't go back here.

The worst!

We reserved a two night stay at the Parkway Inn in Vestal so we could attend Binghamton’s family weekend event at the University. All other hotels in the surrounding area were completely booked so we decided to give the motel a try. I don’t have issues staying at a motel as long as it’s clean, safe and comfortable. After checking-in the manager showed us to our room, explained how to use the shower, and asked if the room was clean enough. As I looked around it didn’t seem that bad. The room was outdated and the carpet edges around the room and beds weren’t spotless but the bathroom looked clean. We thanked the manager and he went on his way. We immediately left the room too and went for a late dinner. Upon returning my husband, who is in law enforcement, had a bad feeling and said he would have to sleep with his gun to feel safe. The people around the motel looked very shady (think of sex trafficking and drug dealing). I had an uneasy feeling too but tried to make the best of it as it was late and we were both exhausted. I pulled the old comforter off the bed and immediately saw cigarette burn marks in the burlap-like blanket provided. The sheet was paper thin, the pillows were flat, and the bed felt like you were laying on a box spring with no mattress. I instantly started to look for another hotel. Luckily I found a hotel in downtown Binghamton with one room available. I immediately booked the room and we left quickly. I called the manager to tell him that we were checking out and left the keys in the room. I then proceeded to ask him if he could cancel and refund my second night stay. I was willing to pay for the first night even though we were only in the room for a total of 25 minutes. The manager declined and said I had to cancel 24 hours in advance. What a rip-off! Interestingly, the manager didn’t even ask us why we left in such a hurry. He didn’t seem to care since he already charged my card. Don’t get yourself into the same predicament.
