It was ok, it's been a while since anything has been updated here. Location is close to Presque Isle park, and availability of a room was key for us.. management seemed friendly.  The outdoor pool was clean.  Generally not fancy, but convenient.

Bayfront Inn Erie

Stayed here twice. Rooms are clean and close to Presque Isle. Pool looked clean even though we didn't use it. Motorcycle friendly. I like to park directly outside my room and that hasn't been a problem here.

SCAMMERS. After I was told I couldn’t cancel my reservation the day before my visit, I ended up trying to check in at 930 pm the day of my reservation.I still had an active reservation on the choice hotel website. I was told at the hotel my reservation was indeed cancelled and I could still get a room for TWICE the rate I booked on the Choice web site ( $200 as opposed to $100. ) I was told there would be a hold on my debit card for $500 for a $100 room. Customer service that night was not helpful. The person checking in behind me was told the same thing I was about “ not having a reservation but could still have the room for the full rack rate” . From the way the outside of the property looked and the awful smell at the front desk, I am glad I didn’t have to sleep there. DO NOT STAY HERE

DO NOT BOOK

First He Said  It was my banks fault and then proceeded to say it was because I wrote a bad review which i didnt.  Two (2) charged on my card even though my receipt says differently  WILL GO ABOVE AND BEYOND TO STOP  HIM FROM DOING THIS TO OTHERS.  VERY CONDENSCENDING AND I FELT IT WAS BECASUE OF MY RACE.

NO SECURITY DEPOSIT IS GIVEN BACK

There was no hot water, and the room was cold, no power outlets near sink. Jacuzzi was in op due to no hot water. Bloody sheet wasn't used.
The room smelled like mildew and sidewalks were icy almost fell only got charged cause of bad review

Disaster

Checked in and right back out!!!! The room stunk like a locker room and piss ( of what you can see from the photos) I’m so glad I didn’t ring my luggage into this room! I showed the front desk male ( whom I believe is the owner) the attached pictures and he tried taking my phone!! 
In all my years of traveling I have NEVER seen a more disgusting hotel!!!
Eventually he did give me my refund.

Bugs Bugs Bugs

The other reviews tell the whole story but I will add my voice here.  I booked a night.  Accommodations were unacceptable.  I would not stay and the hotel refused to refund me.  Thankfully, I am able to charge this back with my credit card company so I will not lose anything but the attitude of the staff/managers is appalling.

Terrible but you already knew that

I stayed in this hotel about two weeks ago. 1st of all he raises the price up TREMENDOUSLY upon arrival we paid $900 for two rooms for 2 nights. YOU DO THE MATH. Secondly, there were so many bed bugs in that room I had to take my daughter to the doctor where they reported 15 bites, two in her EARS. I had mold on the side of my bed and when i asked for clean sheets he cussed me out, turned off our power and wifi and told us to check out that he was keeping our money anyway. I ended up calling the police. This is the most disgusting place on the earth and the health department should be inspecting soon.

Bed bugs and threatened by owner

If you want bad service and her bugs then go. But change from last year until this year. The owner  charges you for stuff and doesn't repair it. I know this because last year's safety patch was broke. He broke it because we had adjoining rooms and one of the grandkids was trying to be safe and latched the door, and then closed the connecting door inbetween the rooms. Well needless to say, he charged my daughter a large extra amount on her card. Then she got that same room from last year , and it was never repaired. And this year they had her bugs so bad they were bitten all over. Then to top it off room service never bothered even giving them clean towels or even cleaning. So my advice. Don't go just because it is cheap.
