What was good

Zenhotel.com informed me that breakfast wasn’t included, but front desk said it was. Room was nice and clean.

What was bad

Because I arrived b4 3 pm, had to charge me $10 extra. The way they presented their policies, it was all about money…turned me off! Also said they “needed a credit card” just in case I would cause any damage. It came across to me that they wanted to keep the card until I checked-out, so I requested an explanation, once again lady explained the same, so I explained I felt uncomfortable surrendering my card. Other managers came and became confrontational if I didn’t comply, they would not accept me as a guest in their hotel. Once again I asked why do you want to hold my card?, mgr said that they didn’t want to keep the card, but the card number. I explained that they needed to present that better to the public, as they sounded to me like they needed to keep the card until I checked-out. I told them to say “for unforeseen expenses, we need your credit card number” . All this could’ve been avoided if their explanation be better presented. Also, had to contact front desk to explain that the thermostat would not activate. Room was cold, and wanted to warm the room and the toilet water pressure was “squealing”. Eventually everything was resolved.
