Finding a room on a college gameday weekend was much harder than expected. Only a few rooms were left so this is what we opted for. I was a bit hesitant after reading some of the reviews but decided to try anyway.

Upon arrival, the owner (?) couldn't find our reservation but I did have a printout of it which seemed to help.

Surprisingly this was a nice roomy suite with kitchenette. It is a very old property but updated with carpeting and furniture. Bedding was ok, towels were quite new. The only things missing were a coffee maker, some kitchen utensils, plates and pans. We had brought leftovers from lunch which we planned to eat for dinner but couldn't! Issues with the tv, couldn't control the volume and once it was on, we couldn't turn it off. Had to pull the plug.

Not bad for the money!

Check in was very easy.  The owners are very pleasant & courteous.  My room was spacious & clean. My only negative is the wifi connection, it won't stay connected. Parking is plentiful & free.  Also close to restaurants.  I would stay again & recommend.

Nice Stay

We were lucky to get a room in Gainesville for the Garth brooks concert as all have been sold out for many months. This became available and I snagged it knowing it wasn’t going to be the ritz. Check in was super easy and owner was friendly. We definitely over paid for what we got- but it was in high demand. Room was definitely the worst room I’ve ever stayed in. Although it was clean, it was very very old, worn out and had a awful musty old cigarette smell. Bed was very hard, but the sheets were clean. No bugs. Usually we linger in our hotel room on check out day, drinking coffee, hot shower and relax....not this time, we got out fast.

Only room available in Gainesville for Garth

Upon arrival the host told us that he did not accept Amex when we presented the card to check in. Ok, that was not bad. When we asked the reason they had Amex pen holders, the host became discourteous. He became so upset that before we could complete checking in, he grabbed the form out of my friend’s hand, tore it up, chase us away like we were street people, then slam the window shut in her face. This is not only poor customer service but utter discourtesy and poor business ethics.

Horrible Host.

We didn’t even stay walked in say the room (disgusting) & they would not give me a refund!!!  There was no lock on the door, room smelled, holes in the wall that were painted over, old refrigerator with rust - can’t believe this place is in business

STAY AWAY

They have a book now on their website and yet the site their book now uses supposedly is not contracted with them. It's not bad for a low budget room. A kitchen suite with no dishes of any kind whatsoever. Smelly. And obvious signs of wear. Never again. 

And the wifi is not secure.
