Been here three times over the years.  The new owner (I believe her name is Angeline) is wonderful.  She is such a sweetheart!  Very attentive and caring.  She has been updating the rooms over the past year or two.  They are very cute and quaint.  Very clean as well, which is important during covid. Beds are comfortable and the rooms are nice and light.  We stayed in room 7 this time. There is seating for two in front of each room. The motel is easy to find. It's close to everything such as the drive-in movie theatre, Weirs beach, and the Kellerhaus Ice Cream.  This motel is seasonal, so you can't stay in the winter, but it's a wonderful place to visit when it's open.  I believe they have rooms large enough to accommodate families as well. But I know for sure that it is good for couples who want to get away from it all and just lay back and relax.   Looking forward to staying next summer!

Our favorite place to stay

Nice clean room and bathroom.  Comfortable bed. The lady who I assume owns it is very nice and accommodating. We like to patronize privately owned businesses and this motel is perfect. Along a busy road, but room was quiet at night.

This hotel is not a Ritz Carlton nor does it advertise itself to be.  It is a nice clean centrally located roadside motel that offers what most people want in a night stay.   Comfortable bed-clean room-facility-welcoming curb side appeal-out door pool and deck-use of BBQ - gazebo some rooms with decks.  Etc.  had occasion to speak with the owner who is very nice and she is not pretentious at all. Just a regular down home person who happens to own a roadside motel and takes pride in her establishment and providing a comfortable stay for her guest at a competitive price point
If you are looking for a rooftop infinity pool this place would disappoint but if you want a clean comfortable night stay with friendly approachable on site owners at a fair price this is the place

Vacation/room 4- aug 13 2020

We took our grandson to the nearby pumpkin festival and stayed here two nights.  Many of the other reviews talk about small and outdated rooms.  This is an older motor lodge type motel, that's the way they were.  If you are looking for luxurious massive rooms with very high rates look elsewhere.  If you want a clean comfortable motel with great owners and a real value rate, stay here.  The owners are very accommodating as many have said.  The rooms are a little small but most people don't spend a lot of time in their hotel room, how much room do you need to sleep in a comfortable bed.  I would stay here again and recommend them, just be realistic with your expectations.

Not a chain, that's why we liked it

This was our second time staying here. We came back because the owners are very friendly, care about the people who stay there, and they take good care of the property and rooms. The bathroom seemed updated. The bed was comfortable and it's close to all the activities a family would like. For example : Weirs Beach, Kellerhause, laconia, shopping, sightseeing, etc. We plan on staying here almost every time we will come up for a visit! Great price too! 

Great visit

I can only speak for one of the upstairs back rooms but it was perfect. The king bed was comfortable. The room large and clean. A back deck to sit on and enjoy the evening. Bert was lovely to deal with. It was reasonable and comfortable. Thank you Bert!!!

Perfect

I booked this hotel last minute for 2 nights Labor Day. Minutes from Weirs Beach, a large convenience store across street etc. 
Room was clean, has fridge and microwave. 
No room service or cleaning but the owners were around to get more soap and towels etc. 
Has a pool but on the main road so very noisy we only sat for 15 minutes. 
All in all was pleasantly happy for an older hotel. 

Pleasantly surprised 

We stayed here for a long weekend.  The owners were very accommodating -- they are rarely in the office, but you ring them and they come right away.  The room we had was OK for a couple, but wouldn't be large enough for a family.  I think they may have at least one double room available for a family with children.    Pool on property, easy parking, convenient location to attractions.   Not sure what the question about "kitchenettes" means below -- the website says they have "kitchenettes", if a microwave and refrigerator count these days as a kitchenette.   I'm responding "not sure" to that, because I usually think of a kitchenette as more substantial.   The "kids activities" below refers to the pool.  There are may kids' attractions nearby.

Responsive owners, small rooms

Not sure how this place gets almost 5 stars. First its not on the lake. Second our room was around back. Pictures show the rooms up top. The ceiling was very low, the room was early 60's, musty, and needed updating badly. On the good side the bed was comfortable and clean. I guess the price was good for that area but I would look a round and find a better place. First and last time.

Small room.  Not worth the price.  No bath tub. Was hoping to soak in the tub after the race.  Walls are thin. Didn’t like that the door as glass   They expected us to quarantine for 14 days before our arrival. Was never told.  They wanted us to sign a paper.  Never did.  Hubby had no place to plug cpap in at the head of the bed he had to use a extension cord.
