This is the best motel I have ever stayed in seaford town! i was stayed there many times with my family. and I’ve always felt  like this is my second home! The location was so clean and nice with the decent river view. The room itself  was so clean and nice. Beds are very comfortable for nice sleep, The room size is much bigger than i have expected. all the appliances were so good! All the staff members are very friendly and helpful. Specially the desk clerk BK is very professional, kind and very helpful. And the prices are very competitive and affordable. Overall it was a very pleasant experience to stay with motel 6. And i would definitely recommend this motel to everyone whoever looking for the clean and nice motel to stay with their family. We will surely be back soon! Thanks Motel 6!

Best Motel in town!

Very nice clerk at front desk and the only reason I'm giving this two stars instead of one. Unfortunately, that was about the only nice thing about this place ... Loud AC, a sink that wouldn't drain, ants in the shower, TV with distorted sound, no lamps, pillows that had to be 3-4 years old, poorly designed building so people can see in the rooms if you're curtain is opened ... I will never stay in this hellscape again

Run Don't Walk from this Pace

The location of Motel 6 is great. There are plenty of stores and restaurants to go to. The hotel is not that great.

The original room we were given had a broken ac. It was 94 that day, so the ac was a must. After the guy at the front desk came up to the room to make sure the ac was broken, we were moved to the room next door that did have a functioning ac. It worked well.

However, we learned that the hotel does not have spare pillows or blankets. We were told that whatever was in the room when we got there is all that we would get which includes bedding and towels. That makes no sense since we had a room with two double beds which would mean four people in the room. There was only one towel and one washcloth.

If you want to save money, this hotel is one of the cheaper options. Just remember to bring your own pillows. blankets, and towels.

You Get What You Pay For

1) At time of check-in the front desk didn’t seem to know quite what they were doing. First they couldn’t find my reservation.  They finally found it and then they couldn’t make the keys work properly and it took a long time to get the keys activated.  It seemed like their first day on the job (even though it looks like the owners were the ones at the front desk).   

2) The room was in the back of the hotel on the 2nd floor.   No parking in back (faced a grassy area and a lake behind some trees).   It was hard to get to the back with luggage. 

3) I will give credit that the room was clean and had microwave and fridge.  However there were no other amenities, such as coffee maker or hair dryer.   Towels were very thin and worn out.   Bedspread and blankets were very thin.   The room had some kind of vinyl floor - no carpet.  Wifi is weak (3 bars).

4) The area is a bit sketchy. People were hanging outside smoking and talking loudly into the night.

For the price I paid, nearly $200 a night, I would not stay here again unless I really had to.  This is a $50 a night motel.  I did not see the value for my money for what I paid.

Leaves something to be desired....

This is the most disgusting motel or hotel I have ever stayed in. Roaches in the bathroom. Hairs on the bedsheets. Paint peeling from ceilings. TV did not work at all. We slept in our clothes at the end of the bed, using four t shirts from our luggage as pillows, as we were afraid to sleep on what looked like dirty sheets. All this luxury for $200 per night. Washed my face with a towelette from my travel bag in the morning. Too grossed out to shower. DO NOT listen to anyone who is praising this place. They must be getting paid for their compliments. Truly horrible experience.

Filth galore!

I don't expect too much. There is  just too much to say the place is gross. There is hair on the sheets and I don't know what the red s*** is and stains on them and the microwave is looks like it's going to fall apart you'll see the pictures. The floor in the bathroom had not been clean its gross gross gross. I'm in a non-smoking room that wreaks a cigarettes it's filthy 125 bucks is not a lot of money but I've stayed in better hotels that were charging less this place. It should come with warning signs. It was a last minute stop over and was tired. Didn't really have time to read the reviews but I figured for $125 a night it couldn't be too bad. Boy was I wrong. Not to mention the elevator and all the hallways wreak as if somebody peed in them. Heed all the warnings I should have slept in my car. Enter at own risk!

Ewwwwh

I have stayed at many different hotels/motels and this motel is by far the worst I’ve ever been in. Room was filthy, bathroom was disgusting. So much drug activity going on all night, people peeing in stairwell, homeless people sleeping on sidewalks in front of rooms, emotionally disturbed/drug addict lurking around rooms and vehicles. Called front desk to let them know of the person and that I was afraid to go outside because of this person and all I got was “ok”, hours later still not taken care of. I have never been afraid to walk outside at any place I’ve stayed until now.

Horrible

Our experiences at Motel 6 have become a joke among our baseball team parents so I will share it here as a review as well.  My 13 year old son and I were in town for a baseball tournament in Georgetown and had booked a room at another hotel for the weekend.  He had games that would keep us at the field from 2:30 until 8:30 on Friday so we weren't able to check in prior to them starting.  We had a typo in our booking and the hotel was unable to reach me to confirm we were coming so they cancelled us and gave our room away.  I was disappointed but it was my fault so I moved on and found another hotel somewhat nearby for half the price.  The price should have been my first clue that things might not go as planned.  I booked a room for two nights online (without reading reviews, again, my fault) and we drove out to Seaford.  We got to the Motel 6 around 9:15 and walked into the front office.  The clerk was struggling to check in two guests who didn't speak English.  Once they got things sorted out he checked me in quickly and we were on our way up to our room.  That's when the fun began...  
As we climbed the steps we heard laughing coming from the parking lot, not in itself a big deal, but it got my attention.  As we walked down the hall to our room I looked down into the parking lot and saw two women standing next to a car washing themselves off (actually using soap and pouring water on themselves) and talking to the two guests who were trying to check-in ahead of me.  This seemed odd so I stopped to listen to their conversation.  When one of the guys pulled out a wad of bills and the girl laughed and said something to the effect of, we're going to be busy tonight!, I realized what we were seeing.  Delightful.  

We went into our room and got settled.  The first thing that hit us was that the "non-smoking" designation would only apply while we were staying there and that this room definitely smelled like it had been smoked in within the past few hours.  It wasn't the worst place I've ever stayed, but I wouldn't even think of bringing my wife and daughter there, that's for sure.  The room had poorly concealed damage everywhere.  Based on the damage on the walls, the headboards had both been pulled from the wall and hastily reattached with no actual repair.  The toilet leaked around the base and was resealed poorly.  On the upside, the beds were fairly clean and two days later I don't see any bedbug bites, so I'll say that they were bug free.  The room was marginally clean, the TV worked, the wifi was blazingly fast (random, eh?), the fridge worked, the AC unit worked better when we put it on the Dry setting and set it to 68 (I assumed that Dry meant dehumidifying so I went with it...).  The shower had good pressure and the water was as hot as we needed it to be.  The next morning as we were headed to the field two of the staff came in to clean the room and seemed to do a bit more cleaning than had been done prior to our arrival.  It was in much better shape when we got back that night.  The second night was relatively uneventful other than the Cheech and Chong levels of pot smoke coming from what seemed like every room but ours.  

The fun wasn't over just yet though... On Sunday morning we packed up to leave and when I went into the office at 8 AM there was a sign saying the clerk had stepped away and to use the phone on the counter to call for service, so I did.  It had rung about 25 times when a breathless person answered and said that I'd caught them in the bathroom.  Um, gross?  He told me to leave the keycard on the counter which I did and GTFOT never looking back.  

In summary: Thanks to Motel 6 for giving us a place to stay last minute, my son an education in the art of hiring hookers in the parking lot and what pot smoke smells like and making it straight to the top of our list of places that we will never, ever go again.

Horror Show

We stayed at the Seaford, De Motel 6 and wouldn't stay there again.   The location is great and the hotel 
has a nice lake view on the back side.   We arrived an hour early and we were told that we could call ahead
to see if our rooms were ready by the toll free main Motel 6 reservation operator.   Desk clerk said absolutely not 
until 2:00 p.m.., not very nice and when we walked in he was arguing with another person who was having trouble with their room.    When we did check in there was a horrible smell in our rooms and we had asked for non-smoking rooms, but wasn't  sure what the smell was.   Then I went into my room and there was a big dead bug on the floor and several hairs in the bath tub.  The bug was there the whole time I stayed there, the cleaning person never cleaned it up.  I left it there to see if they would. The bathroom had a Jacuzzi bath tub, but the knob was plugged off.  Then when we went to check out another person in front of us checking out and they were arguing with the desk clerk.   It just was not a friendly atmosphere to stay.  I wouldn't stay at the hotel ever again!!

Wouldn't recommend this hotel!

The floor was not clean, there was dog hair on the sheets. The manager would not give us a full refund. He only credited me 30.00. The night clerk changed the sheets. The morning manager was very rude and burped in my face
