20 miles from the Canadian border.   Secluded - last week of Oct.   Basically had the resort to ourselves.  Loved the views and the fireplace. Did not like all of the dead flies and lady bugs -  swept up at least 6 times a day but it was their season to come inside.   Staff was great.  4 Seasons restaurant down the road was awesome.   Wonderful lady in the hardware store made us a Christmas ornament -  think her name was Kathy??  We will go back even though our goal was to see the Northern Lights and moose -  saw neither but saw lots of wild turkeys

Maine

Older property, but very nice.  Lots of room, nice kitchen.  Stores down the street to pick-up supplies if needed. Nice property with direct access to ATV and snowmobile trails.  Restaurants down the street.

Jackman Maine is a lovely town the whole family enjoyed! We hiked most of the trip and were delighted with views of mountains and waterfalls as our rewards. The entry of the resort looks like a lodge and the staff is warm and friendly. We had unit 1, the AC had already cooled the room when we entered. We were surprised how spacious the unit was and easily converted it to a 2 bedroom with the privacy panels. The view from our balcony ensured we spent every morning and evening there. The kids loved the indoor pool and we loved the hot tub after a long day hiking. We will definitely be back!
Please note, the resort is not new. If you're booking for the room and not the location this is not the place for you. If you're booking for the location and want a welcoming comfortable place this is for you.

The Mountianview Resorts Cabins are a snowmobiler's perfect place. Can ride out from your front door
to totally awesome trails, dinning and fuel. WE are already to book for next year! Jackman area is set up perfectly for some winter fun!

We booked our stay at Mountainview Lodge for a romantic get away before the holiday season. The quiet, rustic ambiance was everything we wanted and more. We loved the cozy fire and couches in the lobby as well as the quiet of the lodge. Our condo was clean and homey and had the most incredible view! Patty made the check in and check out process a breeze, and provided us with all the information about local amenities. We can’t wait to go back!

A Wonderful Stay

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our one bedroom unit was clean, attractive, nicely appointed, with a full kitchen. We especially appreciated the decent pots and pans- not all beat up as at some resorts. Our deck had a lovely view of the mountains. The indoor pool and workout room were closed due to covid, but the outdoor pool was lovely. We were surprised to learn summer is the slow season, but that contributed to making our stay quite pleasant as the resort was quiet.

Although we had cold and sometimes foggy/rainy weather for the Independence Day weekend, we had a lovely time. We grilled on the back porch, enjoyed watching the misty mountain view from the large windows, watched some DVDs and went on a walk in nearby Yorks through a forested area to a waterfall lookout. All of us (parents and children age 11, 10 and 6yo) had a fine time. 
One thing to know is that the hot water temperature in our cabin was extremely high. So if you do have young children, exercise appropriate caution as scalding is a real risk.

We have been visiting Jackman since 2007 and stay almost exclusively at Mountainview. The 14 lodge cabins (1 bedrooms) are well appointed and have amazing views. If you’re lucky enough to score a 3 bedroom that’s even better. The trails are accessible right off the property and the indoor and outdoor pools provide something to do once you’ve come home from your outdoor addventures. Every year something gets upgraded so the place stays nice. Restaurants, groceries, snowmobile rentals, hunting guides are all available close by. Sandy and the team are always super helpful and provide great recommendations. 

We’ve stayed every year since 2006

The cabin was very nice, a lot of space, excellent for families. However, the facilities were old and most of them was not working. Bring enough food, the super market nearby was expensive and not much choices.

Cozy cabin

Beautiful, large cabins. We stayed in #11. Peaceful, tranquil, comfy. Even though it rained some of the time, it was comfortable and cozy sitting on the couch in the loft. This is rustic beauty at it's best. Bring groceries, cards and DVDs so if you are inside you have things to do and eat. The kitchen has everything you need except storage containers, baggies, foil- so bring some.  There is a grill on the deck. We took a day trip to Greenville for shopping and had a sandwick at Jamos. We took a day trip to The Forks and saw Moxie Falls.
