On a prior trip we stayed at a condo by Smithers  Beach . This time I went with a few friends and we wanted to stay closer to Duvall and  the action and we wanted to find rooms at less than 400 a night . We had a 5 night stay and it was awesome. The desk staff and concierges Louis and Roman were so helpful in helping to find parking and making suggestions .  Breakfast was included in the resort fee and it was nice - boiled eggs, ham, cheese , muffins, bagels and fruit .  The location is awesome and you can walk to the waterfront and Duvall.  I had room 105 which was nice but small . My friends had room 116 with sitting area on first level and bedroom on second.  Every day we hung out at pool. Second floor deck is clothing optional if you want to get a great tan  sans clothes ( wasn’t anyone doing this while we were there ). Bathrooms were a  bit dated but this wasn’t a huge thing .

Great Concierge staff and location, location, location!

We recently stayed at Heron House Court for 3 nights.  We picked it because the price was reasonable compared to others in downtown area, was handy to Key West Express docking and close to Duval Street,also it had good ratings.  So glad we did!  The building built in the early 1900s has the charm of an older building, but amenities and upkeep of a new one.  The building has been well loved and cared for.  Roman, the desk clerk and man in charge was a big help.  He arranged for us to have a golf cart for our use and was available for anything needed.  He even made a special trip out one morning on his bicycle to get us bottled water!  The continental breakfast was delicious.  The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, (although the pillows are past their prime) storage areas adequate, and porch access great.  The hotel is away far enough from the party revelers to be quiet and in a very safe area.  They have front porch decks on the first and second floor, a sun deck on the back and an area around their heated pool.

A Great place to stay

Heron. House on Frances Street in Key West was a delightful place to stay.  We had two rooms on the ground floor and they were both clean and very comfortable.  The heated pool was great too!. Heron House is in a quiet neighborhood, far away from the hustle and bustle of Duval Street, and an easy walk from the ferry which we took from Ft. Myers.  But the best part of staying there was Roman, our desk clerk/concierge, who was quick to make recommendations on restaurants, things to do, and transportation (use the Duval Loop, it is free and stops all over).  Five stars!

Heron House on Frances Street is a Gem!

The stay was delightful - thanks to our Concierge Roman who provided excellent service - including restaraunts, places to visit, stops on the Duval loop and even going beyond to look up things we were interested in.  He is the best - extremely personable and always smiling.

Heron House Court - great review

Great location and we highly recommend it for a good time in Key West.  My wife and I have stayed there multiple times this year.  Roman is very helpful and accommodating on any request he can help you with. All rooms have been very comfortable and the pool is very clean and welcoming 

Great place to stay in Key West

Clean and super friendly! Steven is funny and helpful! Highly recommend!   The rooms are a good size and have a mini fridge.  There is. Nice continental breakfast I. The morning, and who doesn’t love all the chickens!

Wonderful

We have lost track of how many times we have been back.  It is a quaint little building in a great location.  Don't expect some glitzy hotel.  It's not that kind of place as we discussed this week with what I think was the property manager.  This is a place for people who like a nice quiet comfy place to stay.  We always love it here.  They have been making great improvements too.  We had a new bed and new furniture in the room we stayed in.  Roman (front desk) is awesome, always glad to see everyone, and knows everything about the area.

Heron House Court is a short walk away from Eaton Bikes and once you have bikes you can go anywhere on the island within 10-15 minutes and for a little more effort you can bike to Stock Island.  The Harbor walk starts only a few blocks away and is a pleasant walk any time of the day.  We saw a couple of manatees this trip there at the harbor.

BTW - the small pool in the picture for Tripadvisor is cemented over to make a nice patio.  The big pool is still available and if you go in the summer you will find it absolutely necessary to cool off from the hot weather.  We used it this trip too for relaxing after walking all over the island.

We keep coming back

The place is quiet, clean and convenient to all the bars/marinas/restaurants. Roman is a gracious host and made our stay very enjoyable! We will definitely be back if we come to Key West again. Enjoy your stay!

4 great nights at Heron House Court thanks to Roman!

While we weren’t able to actually stay due to a glitch on a third party booking app, the mere service and assistance given by Roman to help us find boarding makes this place top on my list to stay next time. He went above and beyond to help us, find places to eat, and get us settled at the new place down the block. Great customer service speaks volumes and Roman said it all. Thank you again sir.

Roman is top notch!

If I could give the bed and breakfast a higher then a 5 I would.  It was fabulous, from the cleanliness of the rooms, the accessibility to the center of the island and the friendliness of the staff. Roman was the go to person for any activity you wised to do. He never steered us wrong. Also he went above and beyond to make our 50 anniversary special with fresh roses and pastries. I would recommend Herron house court for a must stay bed and breakfast. Loved it.
