We were thrilled to stay here again and visit with Scott and Reesa.  They continue to maintain a clean, cozy and comfortable place -- but it's really their unique personalities that make staying there such a special experience.  With other visitors, we were able to enjoy one of Scott's concerts on their new porch -- unique and memorable!  Rooms are a little small, but include everything one needs.  The location is well away from the madness and traffic of Camden - a peaceful respite during a busy trip.

Old time comfort

This is exactly the kind of place we like to stay.  Quaint cozy and clean. The owners are very friendly. The bed was very comfy. It feels like you are out in the woods but you aren’t. Very quiet.  Popcorn in the room. Plenty of electrical outlets including USB ports.

Clean and cozy

We just had one night to stay but would have stayed more.  Room was clean and in good working order.  The grounds are beautiful. Wifi was fast.  The linens were the kind you want at home and not run of the mill hotel stuff.  The room had satellite TV and board games in the cabinet.   Then to top it off the owners invited us to join a family time around a fire pit under a gorgeous night sky and he sang and played guitar for hours.  We enjoyed it so much we were late for bed.  I wouldn't expect that in bad weather but Wow! If I am ever in the area again there will be more than one night in the Ducktrap.

way better than you think!

This is a perfect spot if you’re able to work remotely and want to do so in a beautiful location. WiFi is excellent here. Rooms are very clean and service is excellent. The owners are pleasant and make sure your stay is enjoyable. Location is convenient to the beaches and Camden.

Great spot for remote work

My granddaughter and I rented a room for 2 nights. I chose Ducktrap for the great price and was pleasantly surprised. The property is amazing, off the road and wonderful for children. My adult children came for a visit, were allowed to leave their vehicle there  to car pool . The room was clean and nicely decorated. I will return. Oh and enjoyed coffee right outside the room.

Great place

Stayed 3 nights over Labor Day weekend.
Good location but off main road.
Rooms clean,great non hotel type towels, sheets and bed coverings.
Very relaxing with chairs outside room and more chairs on lawn.
Owners very nice and truly want you to enjoy stay.

Would stay again

My brother and I were lucky to find the Ducktrap Motel, at the end of our days ride. The motel was clean and up to date. The property was beautiful and the owners were the greatest folk we met on our two week trip. We liked the motel and owners so much, that we asked to stay another night. We were lucky and they were able to accommodate us. GREAT PLACE TO STAY!!!

Motorcycle trip BEST Motel!!!

I happened upon the Ducktrap Motel by chance. I did not have a reservation for the night. I was driving from Stonington and only saw no vacancies as I drove along. I saw the Ducktrap sign at the bottom of a hill and turned in hoping they'd have a room. They had 1 room left to my relief. The accommodation was great for my needs....fridge, microwave, AC, comfortable, great shower, quiet, away from the road, large grassy area to take the dog for a walk, and a little unknown beach across the road and great restaurants nearby.........just perfect for me and my service dog. Reese and Scott were very accommodating. Planned to stay one night and stayed another because it was within reach of a lot of sites that I had planned to visit. You won't be disappointed.

A Great Find

This location, though off the beaten path, was perfect. Great price, beautiful and clean room with enough amenities to keep you happy. We got in late and Scott and Reesa met us to say hi and to wish us rest after a 17 hour drive from Michigan. We did the paperwork in the morning while chatting about musical instruments! Definitely worth staying out of the way for the experience.

Wonderful introduction to Maine

Reesa & Scott are outstanding hosts! Due to my husbands health challenges, we had to rearrange our stay more than once. They worked with us and we finally made up there this past weekend.This is a delightful place and I highly recommend it. The rooms are immaculate, cozy and warm. You can't ask for better than that! This is truly a Gem. As Reesa says, "We strive to give 1960's customer service. experience"!  Thank you again!!
