Very clean and generous breakfast area, hotel a ten minute drive or uber to downtown!  The family who owns this is very sweet and accommodating,  I woke up late and breakfast was over,  but I asked for 2 eggs and without hesitation they gave. This made a big difference for me.  In August the rooms get hot so crank up the aircondit or open the windows,  which I did, it was fine. Portland Maine is a magical place where the fog rolls in on a sunny day, the air and water are clean and fresh,  come visit! There is also an Irish history of famine descendants from the 1850s, which is why there are beautiful cathedrals here.

Ok hôtel in Portland. The good thing, i went there at the last minute and they had a spot for me. The room was nice and clean but nothing incredible. My card didn't work at the first time to open the outdoor door but the guy fixed this. So the service was friendly!

Ok hôtel in Portland!

We decided to visit Portland last minute the week before Labor Day. Hotel pickings were slim, unless we were willing to spend serious bucks, but there was availability here and the price was right, so even with the mixed reviews, we took a chance. As mentioned, the Inn is behind a restaurant and near a strip mall. The hall entering our 100 building did have a slight musty smell. Perhaps a change of carpet would help. Our room, though, was clean and comfortable. Air conditioner was in good working order and so was the bathroom. The complimentary Continental breakfast was an added plus. We used the money we saved to splurge in town instead. I think for those on a limited budget, this very basic Inn isn't bad. Staff was very friendly and town was about a 15 min. drive. Having CVS next door was great for those forgotten items. All in all, our experience was positive.

Room 123 clean and comfortable

The room was clean, and the property was okay but the price of the room was far beyond what was presented. 
Breakfast was continental and there were enough options that someone who is gluten free & vegetarian (me) could eat enough to be full.
It is hard to find and is located behind a shopping center.

Okay but too expensive

Very disappointed in this hotel. No assessibility. Horrible breakfast. Not well located. Room did have fridge and microwave, however, sheets appeared dirty like they did not change between customers. Would not recommend 

Small needs updating 

This place is miles away from anywhere and resembles a military barracks. Rooms are dingy and smelly. Breakfast/desk clerk was far from friendly, in fact quite hostile. There are far better places to stay in this area for more or less the same area.

Use Only As a Very Last Resort

We arrived on a holiday weekend and this was literally the only hotel anywhere we could find a room. After we got our room did we find out why. The carpet was filthy, food and what looked like dog hair everywhere. Scum and mold growing in the bathroom, security look missing on the door, the transition strip between tile and carpet peeling off to name a few. To their credit, the bed was clean and comfy.  Because it was a holiday weekend they gaffed us luxury room price for a flea bag hotel.

NO  NO  NO!!!  Don’t Even Consider It!

There was literally no other hotel available for us when we flew into Portland (my mistake).  The hotel was old and tired, door knobs missing in hallways etc.  BUT during the night the toilet tank in our bathroom cracked.  I heard the noise and got up, saw all the water coming out of the crack, turned the water to the toilet off, mopped up the water with towels, flushed the toilet so no further leaks could occur and went back to bed.  Called them at 7:30 am when we woke up.  They accused me of cracking the toilet and berated me for not calling them to come repair it in the middle of the night.  Hung up on three times.  Horrible hotel.  Horrible people.

Rooms smells bad (humidity). Bathub doesnt drain. Service at desk is ok. Breakfast is basic, waffles, eggs, bagels, toasts. Etc... cheap hotel but good location. Would not recommand at all. Building 400

Hôtel miteux

Honestly this was the worst customer service. I booked a room online and ended up having to cancel it about 10 minutes later. I called the next day to ask why I was still charged and the lady was just so rude. She said they would not refund my money and that anyone I talked to would say the same thing. It was booked for 10 minutes I honestly don’t think that cost them money. She would not even let me explain she just said no, that I could not get a refund. I understand I booked it for the same day but I also didn’t wait al day to cancel I canceled in less than 10 minutes. If this hotel wants to succeed I suggest you at least hire some friendly people. I’ve literally never talked to someone so rude.
