We needed a place to crash after a last minute ski trip on NYE and the Quaint Inn & Suites was perfect! It's not the Hilton and yes the rooms are dated-- and I liked it that way. The lobby has a 70-80's friendly lodge like feel and the rooms are simple. It was a nice change from the heydays of nowadays. Priceline dropped our reservation due to system glitch, which didn't bother Sam (at the front desk) at all. He honored the reservation as if it had successfully processed and advised us to just call the office directly to ensure future reservations. Our room was clean and had king size jacuzzi tub, which we were too tuckered out to use (but useful for future knowledge! After a day at the slopes, we didn't need fancy shampoos or a red carpet to our room, we just needed a place to eat, chill, and sleep. We'll be back! If you stay, have cash and change just in case you get a hankering for vending snacks-- old school is back baby!!

Last minute trip--success!

Lots of bad reviews here, but I stay here every year for my trips to WISP for skiing. It's certainly not the Taj Mahal and it is dated, but it's 1/2mi from the ski slopes and you could stay here for the weekend, pay for lift tickets, and get a steak dinner for the cost of the next cheapest place to stay in town for a single night.

For what it is in relation to the price, it's a fair deal. If you're expecting it to be a Hampton Inn then either get over it or maybe this place isn't for you.

Good Enough for Me

First of all, this motel is in serious need of renovation and updating, but the building has "good bones," and when the scheduled renovations are finished, it should be lovely.  The rooms are nice and large, and when my family stayed in Feb '23, we found them to be very clean.  I also have to give a shout-out to the staff.  They were very polite, pleasant and accommodating.  Corine at the front desk was especially helpful.  We look forward to going back again, and hope the motel management keep the rates affordable for families to occupy multiple rooms and enjoy Wisp and the beautiful Deep Creek Lake area.

So much potential

This hotel USED to be great.  I have stayed here off and on for over 10 years.  It is now run down, the suites are in need of a LOT of work..  Then when booking to pay full price for a suite in which items do not even work.  I just want to shake my head in sadness.

A lot of work needed

ok the positives here are limited to the pleasantness of the younger staff usually work the the afternoon and late night.  room is large roomy. for me the plus was there are smoking rooms 

now for the negatives the hotel is run down and in disrepair  you can only enter through the main entrance  card readers at all other doors are inoperable. there is also no elevator so pack light. breakfast starts at 6:30 so not good if you are here for work and have to start early

Dated and run down

We have been vacationing at Deep Creek for the past 5 years and usually stay at this location because of the low rates.  However, our stay this month will be our last.  We kept hoping that each year we would see some much needed improvements, but the hotel's outdated appearance and poor cleanliness has not improved, but clearly has declined.  Blame for It's steady decline cannot rest entirely on the changing times with the pandemic.  First of all, the rate stated that the room would include a microwave and a fridge, which were not there.  The front desk gave us another room, there was a fridge and a microwave - the microwave was too far from an electric outlet, which didn't matter because the the power cord was  broken at the end.  The rooms smell of mold and mildew, the bed linens were disgusting (had hairs on pillow cases and sheets), and the tiny pillows were flat as pancakes.  The air conditioning sounded like a jet engine.  Two positive things about this hotel - they have nice coat hangers and the flowers at the main entrance are pretty.  Next time we will pay a little extra and stay at a 'decent' hotel - any other place would definitely be better than this one.

Lowest Rate in the Area - for good reason - September 2020

This was the grossest place I have ever seen we went in and I was grossed out but thought I'll look at the room. Well no elevators. Four flights oh steps with dirty outdated carpet reeked  like cigarette smoked it is went in room and said nope not happening the bath room had stains the ceiling and carpet had stains went back down to front desk said I want our money back I'm not staying here it's just to gross they only refunded us one night when we had paid for two. I wanted to shower in bleach

Just came to town to stay one night and play golf two days. Not looking for anything extravagant but the front office had nobody present all evening. The place is run down and worn. The front desk area is a wall of 2x4’s and plexiglass that you can’t hear any of the conversation. Credit card machine had issues and card wouldn’t run. To top it all off there was no hot water to take a shower, night of arriving of the stay, after a long day at the golf course sweating,  nor in the morning prior to checkout. 

No hot water, rooms are dated and one bed was broken. No venting in bathroom/room. Most everything felt damp/nasty.

This hotel is worn, tired and broken.  Guests are greeted with a broken roof over the entryway and buckets in the lobby collect water leaking through the roof.  There is no/no elevator in the hotel, so if you are on the 4th floor - get ready to haul all your luggage up the stairs.  The room was broken - cracked window, windows rusted shut (or were nailed shut), holes in the walls, torn wallpaper, non-functioning A/C, pillows were tiny, beat furniture, broken door locks, etc.    Despite the above deficiencies, the room seemed clean.

Bottom line - I should have read the TA reviews and gone elsewhere.   



Worn, Tired and Broken

I am only wri writing this as a public service announcement. This was absolutely the worst hotel I have ever seen and I have to imagine it will be closed down by the health department very soon. In the hotel lobby there is severe water damage, mildew and multiple buckets on the floor to deal with flooding from what I can only imagine. is a damaged roof. There’s actually nobody to even talk to in this hotel and staff isn’t there past 230 daily. You have to call an outside number and get a code for a lock box to take it to your room. We didn’t even make it that far due to the fact that they were buckets on the floor the elevator was broken there’s a space heater randomly heating a very cold lobby with no staff From what other people report, the rooms aren’t much better. I wouldn’t know because I immediately got a refund and I would strongly discourage people from ever booking with this hotel. Honestly, I have traveled many places and I have never seen anything this bad in my 53 years on this planet. Avoid at all costs!!
