The room was clean and neat even though outdated. The bathroom was clean and the water was hot for showers. We were told that if we wanted a room with a king sized bed it would be upstairs and there were no elevators. We did not eat breakfast as we had to leave early. Never saw any bugs nor did we wake up with bites on our arms and legs ( as reported by another review). The staff greeted us promptly when we arrived and checked out. Both ladies were warm and friendly.

Marie’s visit

Our room was very clean, quiet & had everything we needed. Stayed 2 nights & left the key in the room the 1rst night so, went to the Front Desk the following morning to get a new one. And...there she was...the guest who, very loudly insisted on seeing the Manager. The Manager was not in at 7:10 am...and this really set her off. She went on a rant about seeing bed bugs in her room. As someone who is incredibly susceptible to these terrible little creatures, if there was a bed bug in a high-rise hotel, on the 15th floor & I was on the 3rd floor..he would find me. She described them as BIG, LONG ...and all over her room. Well, in actuality, they are tiny and VERY hard to see. I left, after staying 2 nights..with NOT one bite. This incredibly patient & professional Front Desk woman let the lady rant, rave & be incredibly rude and never lost her cool. Shes a better person than I.  2nd night went down to grab a box of Klennex and .. a different Front Desk woman...couldnt have been nicer. 
IF...the woman who told a tall tale about seeing bed bugs, and disrespected the Front Desk woman is reading this..."Bless yer Heart".

Wow, Front Desk Ladies!

Clean, well maintained and EXCELLENT  customer service! If you are looking for a great mid-range hotel this is the place for you. Delish breakfast, nice pool, easy access to surrounding areas. I would stay here again and definitely recommend to others.

Excellent Mid-Range Holttel

The ladies at the sign in desk were both on the phone helping callers for registrations.  I didn't mind waiting because I knew if I was on the other end of the phone I would like to have them be the ones assisting me.  When I got the chance to get signed in they allowed me to see the room before taking it.  The room was clean, the bed comfortable and we had a good night (quiet) sleep.  Coffee was great, they offered a grab bag in the morning.  Only issue was the pool was closed - for cleaning - that never happened in the 2 days we were there.

Because if personal crisis I have been negligent in writing this review but I must send my praise and appreciation now.
Last fall storms came through this area and caused flooding. 
My elderly aunt, Lea Daughtry, was unable to remain in her home.   Since I am in another state I felt helpless.  I arranged for her to find refuge in the Quality Inn located in Mullins.  It was a 
The staff was wonderful.  The front desk was so responsive when I would call to check on her.  The manager, Roy D’Souza, took a personal interest in her safety and comfort.  Talk about “southern hospitality”
this was it.  Thank you for your kindness.

Yes, this is an older building. It appears that they are "remodeling", painting, cleaning, some updating.  Our room, a king non-smoking, was quite nice, for a Quality In. Clean, nice bed, and the bathroom was very clean - cauking had no signs of wear or especially mold.  Now the fixtures need updating (the shower handle fell off.. missing the lock screw) and the sink handles squeaked badly.

The breakfast was more than satisfactory for me, scrambled eggs, sausage, breads, waffles, cereals, juice, coffee, and pasteries.

Finally, the people couldn't have been nicer.  I do see the current rate for tonight is more in line what I'd expect to pay.

Better than I expected

We stopped there on our way to Florida. The person at the reception was not friendly at all and his gray shirt and tie were dirty, but we were very tired so, we stayed. Once you passed the reception however, things improved. Parking is free and in front of our room, so you can bring in your luggage very easily. There was a ramp to go to our accessible room on the first floor. The Hotel was very quiet, the Queen size bed comfortable and the bathroom was perfect for a person in a wheelchair. There isn't any restaurant in the Hotel, but they offer a free breakfast-buffet very satisfactory and for everyone taste. In all, very good for a short stay.

Good for a short stay

Spent one night here before my sons wedding in Mullins.  Upon checking in the price which I had been given at reservation wasn't honored.  The front desk girl was extremely rude and said "It is what it is, I can't do anything about it, I'm the only one here, do you want the room or not?" I had no choice but to stay at that point. The hotel is very rundown. No elevator, stairwells were very dirty. My daughter found hair in her bed. Had many other family members staying and they all had complaints about this hotel.  Drive the extra 10 minutes and stay in Latta.

Rundown

1. Found bugs in bed.
2. Hallway filled with smell of pot.
3. Given a smoking room despite asking for non-smoking room. Hacked all night and had to use my inhaler.
4. Patrons outside building smoking and drinking.
5. 2nd floor hallway air conditioner extremely noisy.
6. Room air conditioner sounded like a car reving up every 10 minutes.
7. This is like a Motel 6

Don’t stay here

My friend and I stayed here because our car broke down. We didn't realize what the bugs were at first so we slept in it because we only saw like 2 and I figured they were Beatles or something. Then in the morning we see another one and I start getting suspicious so we go to breakfast to get our minds clear and we were dealing with car stuff so it was chaotic. After breakfast we go back to the room and I see another bug on the wall(pictured) and i took a photo so i could try and find out what it was. I thought maybe cockroaches or something. I sat on my bed to figure it out and then I see the smaller bug (also pictured.) I looked at the reviews and apparently the hotel has had problems with bed bugs before so I decided to look up pictures of bed bugs and what do you know. Exactly the same. So my friend and I freak out and pack all of our things and shake everything out. Pull up sheets and everything just to make sure there weren't more. Then I ask to check out and for a refund and they say they will only give me 20% which is ridiculous! I would have NEVER stayed there if I had known. I paid 101$ for a dirty room where the carpet doesnt even meet the wall and the soap holder in the shower was broken on the right side and BED BUGS! not a chance!! Not to mention my friend got bites on her foot! We had to ask for trash bags to put our stuff in and then wait outside in 100° weather for our rides because we didn't feel comfortable sitting in the hotel anymore. Here are my pictures as proof!
