The Inn is a treasure as it is a community history lesson with photos and artifacts of the area and of the many colleges and universities.  The rooms are lovely, plenty of parking with a pub attached serving good food.  Even though there are no elevators, the staff is eager to help with luggage.   Breakfast is served in the "ballroom" and we wished the walls could about the adventures of days gone by.

A HISTORY LESSON

Rooms large, clean, very comfortable. Plenty of parking. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were delicious! Nice connection with the Pub below. Visited for second time and plan on visiting again. They remembered us in both the B&B and Pub

Relaxing

When we first pulled up, we were a little skeptical of our decision, but the Inn is very well maintained, the breakfast in the third floor ballroom was fantastic. Eileen was a great hostess and told us all about this historic Inn. We stayed 2 nights, and it was a great place to go out to the various Finger Lake locations. We also ate at the pub the first night. The salmon was delicious. ThanksEileen.

Neat Historic Inn

A superb location to launch day trips around the Finger Lakes.  We trailered our motorcycle and there was plenty of parking for both truck & trailer.  This is a really cool old building with a great vibe - super clean and comfortable. Breakfast is served in the third floor ballroom just as it was in many 1800's era buildings. Everyone was very friendly and the on site pub is convenient, the food is good and it's a great spot to mingle with the locals.   There's a brewery as well as an ice cream stand within walking distance .  What's not to love about this place??!!

Step Back in Time

I spent four peaceful and delightful nights in Room 1. It could not have been better! The room was exceptionally clean as was the bathroom. High ceilings, decorated with beautiful antiques, lots of windows, comfy bed, soft sheets. There is a pub (outstanding food and service) in the same building so dinner was just next door. Eileen, the innkeeper, and Nancy, the manager, were sweet and welcoming hostesses. I can not say enough good things, and I look forward to another visit! 

Just extraordinary!

Jim and I were celebrating our 3 wonderful years of being together. We live in the Fingerlakes Region, so we knew we didn't need to travel far to have a wonderful stay. Rogues is a wonderful, historical old Inn. The owner has decorated it up mostly in period style and with antique furniture. Brass beds, 4 posters, claw foot tubs...all wonderful. The breakfast was great too. Just imagining being in the room with the history there. And the pub has wonderful dinners, not just pub food. Yummy!!

Historical and delicious pleasure!!

We like to visit these historical inns around the Finger Lakes. It’s clear the owner has lovingly restored the rooms. It must take so much effort to keep everything working when you’re fighting gravity and time. All the necessary modern parts work great; lovely spotless bathroom, comfy bed, 24/7 coffee and tea in the lobby, microwave and refrigerator for guest use also in the lobby. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a security code that must be used to get into the building. We enjoyed our stay.

Romantic getaway

Delightful and comfortable period in with a fantastic breakfast of locally sourced deliciousness.  To answer your question:  no, it is not far from Ithaca, maybe a ten-minute drive into the country.  Not at all stuffy and extremely welcoming.  For those who appreciate history, beautiful countryside, and fine eating.

History and good breakfast

We had a great two night stay. We loved the location and everything about the Inn. It was nice to be close to Ithaca but a little far away as well. The breakfast was outstanding and we had a great meal at the pub attached to the property. We will be back!

Great two night stay....

Many college alums and folks who lived in Ithaca in the 50's and 60's remember Rogues Harbor. It's still there, and the hotel portion has been saved from ruin by the capable and dedicated owner. And it's worth saving. This is a nearly 200-year-old hotel that started life as a stagecoach stop for north south and east west lines. It is storied for its good history -- the underground railroad -- and its shady past -- as a speakeasy. Today it lives as a fun place to stop and relax.
It might be a big bed and breakfast, and it might be a small hotel. Either way it's fun. It's not without challenges. Not for the handicapped, there are steep stairs and no elevator. And on hot nights the air conditioner noise competes with street noise. Get room in the back if they are available. But for a fun getaway or a spot to unwind on an Ithaca football weekend, this is the spot.
