We went to Pebble Beach for my husband’s 50th birthday. He wanted to play Pebble and Spyglass. We stayed at the Inn at Spanish Bay. The hotel and grounds were immaculate. The room was cozy, had wonderful amenities and the bed was fantastic. Service throughout Pebble Beach was amazing. Staff were very polite, helpful and attentive. Every meal we had was perfection. All of the drinks we had at every bar were perfect as well. I would absolutely stay again. I loved seeing/hearing the bag piper. Views are amazing. We rented a car but parked it and used the shuttle during our stay. It is super convenient. Definitely hit the Tap Room, go big steak and salt board. You will not regret it. The salmon dish with succotash was also ridiculously good. The desserts were phenomenal as well. I also recommend breakfast on the patio overlooking the ocean at Stillwater. Complete zen. The Açaí bowl was so good! Make sure to save time for 17 mile. The ground hogs/gophers are adorable and walk right up looking for a snack. My husband had a spectacular experience golfing and wished he could have done more. We bought some nice cigars in the lobby and a seagull stole it, in wrapper, right out of his cup holder in the golf cart! I had one mediocre experience at the end and it is the only gripe I could come up with. Our last night we wanted to sit by the fire outside, have a glass of wine and a small snack. No one stopped to speak to us. I saw the employee walk past us numerous times and never once ask if we needed anything or were okay. There was a party of people at another fire-pit that she was being attentive to. I finally grew frustrated and went to her. She told me that there was no more service at this time. Mind you, if she had taken the time to acknowledge us 20 minutes earlier we would have made the cut. I asked where we could find a glass of wine and snack only to be offered no suggestion other than go to your room for room service. So banished to our room, we did just that and the room service was great…I just would have preferred the fire outside and hearing the waves.

Fantastic trip!

First class service and accomodations at the Inn at Spanish Bay. We had champagne in our room provided by the resort for our anniversary celebration. Concierge had our bags put in our room while we went outside to hear the bagpiper 5:30-6:45. Food is delicious everywhere but pricey. We played Spyglass which is the toughest of the Pebble Beach courses. Note: you can play the resort courses without staying on property but need to reserve a tee time within 24 hours

We love Spanish Bay

Celebrated a 50th Wedding Anniversary there as well as played golf at the resort courses.  It's a bucket list item that I've now had to do more than once, bringing new people each time (who doesn't want to play Pebble).  And if they offer me another special I just might come back a few more times,  it's that special of a place.  

The Bucket List Experience is Becoming an Annual Event.

We have stayed here multiple times and each time gets better, totally impressed with the impeccable service from Amy at the front desk and Erin in the restaurant. The hotel is beautiful both inside and outside, we have made this our annual go to retreat to play golf and enjoy this wonderful hotel. Everyone needs to be pampered every now and then and this is the place.

Great Hotel

Wonderful stay!  Beautiful room, meals were great and golf was challenging. My only complaint (and it’s nit picking) lobby was cold to enjoy jazz music at night. When we asked about closing front doors we were told it was company policy to have 2 doors open at all times. Seem odd to freeze out those trying to enjoy music in case door men couldn’t get to doors to open for guests entering

Anniversary trip

The Inn at Spanish Bay is not to be missed if you want to treat yourself and your family! It is pricey, but it is worth the cost.  The rooms have more amenities than you would even hope for, and are meticulously maintained. The beds are comfortable, and the views were great! The bagpiper that comes each evening is something that has to be experienced at least once during your stay. The grounds are beautiful and there are walking trails that lead down to the beach and around the area.  The gym is fully equipped. Roy’s has great views of the surrounding golf course and good food, but the service was a little slow/inattentive. The service in the outside seating and bar area was great.  We have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed!  This is one of our favorite places to stay of any place in the world!

One of the best hotels in the world!

We came here after driving around the 17 mile drive. We were going to have dinner here at Roys. We roamed around the premises a bit. The patio and garden area was lovely. Perfect to sit around and have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. The best thing about it is the view of the course and the ocean. So peaceful. The kids and our dog enjoyed running around. Next time, we will check in, reading the reviews seems like it is quite a stay at this place.

Lovely Luxury Hotel

An amazing place in a stunning location The beaches, 17 mile drive, the golf courses and Roy’s Hawaiian restaurant.  Everything is superb. Service is efficient and friendly and there is little if anything to fault. Just don’t sit at a table near the doors to the terrace as you’ll have constant draughts: we moved immediately.

Spectacular in every way

Visited Spanish Bay in May 2022 on a golf trip with 3 friends from UK. The golf courses are obviously the stars of the show, but the Inn at Spanish Bay is a magnificent property to base yourself in, whilst enjoying the fabulous golf and Monterey Peninsula coastline. The staff at the hotel are all a credit to the resort, but I would like to give a special mention to John and his team at the front of the hotel, who do such a great job creating that initial impression, which is so important and then engaging enthusiastically with you throughout your entire stay. Would highly recommend anybody thinking of doing a trip to Pebble Beach to consider basing yourself at the Inn.

Excellent accommodations, great restaurants, handy shuttle service to courses, impressive lobby and outdoor seating areas for ocean viewing.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay here. Room was wonderful, landscaped grounds impeccable, and very friendly, professional personnel. Female Bagpiper was so wonderful to sit and listen to after a busy day.
