I don't know where these people stayed but my experience could not have been better. I have been on the road since June 3rd in a motorcycle cross country. I have stayed in Motel 6, Days Inn, Rodeway Inn and quite a few other places. Motel 7 was, for the money, the best deal I have had so far. The staff was very nice, couldn't be more accommodating. The room was big, bathroom was spotless.

Walmart Supercenter was 10 minutes away. The biggest plus is when you see Wiremold for the electric, which means the walls are solid cinder block, with a finish coat on top. Translation = QUIET, NO NOISE FROM YOUR NEIGHBOR. You could go a couple of doors away and spend 4x the $ at the BW and hear your neighbor ay his TV or you can sleep peacefully, while your neighbor blasts the TV.

If you want basic accommodations, at a great price you couldn't do better. These establishments need to stay open, support them. Rawlins is transitioning and mom and pop places need to survive. Plus, when was the last time you were given an actual key for your room - great, nostalgic stuff.

The best deal in Rawlins, or anywhere else.

We stayed at this motel while traveling through Wyoming.

1.) Some reviews mentioned bed bugs.  There were NO bed bigs in our room.  Being paranoid after all the negative comments, we even checked the bedding and room prior to checking into the motel.  

2.) The room was VERY clean.  Slight odor from someone cooking or eating in an adjoining area, but no smoke smell, etc.

3.) Very quiet. Our room was also secure with a functional door lock and chain. 

4.)  HUGE, nice television.

5.) Definitely better than sleeping in your car as some reviews have written.

6.) This is a MOTEL with MOTEL decor, do NOT expect it to look like a HOTEL!!!

7.) The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that our price was ($163).  I would probably pay $75-$80 for this type of motel.  It was one of the last rooms available in the area late at night, so I’m sure the price does not reflect normal rates.

Overall, this was a safe & clean motel.  Perhaps there is new ownership since the last ratings, but we did not see any of the negativity that was listed in previous reviews.

Nice motel

So, would I stay here again? Probably not. But we were in Casper and couldn’t get a room because of rodeo finals (didn’t know about that being from MN). We had to keep driving at night in a rain storm and this was what was available. It seemed clean, but we were so beat I’m not sure I would have cared either way. We had some loud neighbors at some point but overall it stayed quiet. I believe they had a simple breakfast spread but we didn’t partake as we were unable to get dinner and wanted a big breakfast. 

My friend couldn’t ever seem to get the bathroom door open and I was cold all night as they only had a sheet and the thin top blanket, but there was a tv and WiFi. So basically it was better than having to sleep in a Walmart parking lot.

Worked in a pinch

I must have misread this listing and thought it was a 2.5 star motel. I must have gotten a better room than some of the other reviews since it smelled fine. . I have included a couple of pictures. Our room was clean and well used but very dated. Except for the bathroom fan making lots of noise and the old outdated in wall heater / AC, I am sure we will be OK but, would have selected another place if given the choice after seeing the room, but the price was$30-50 better than any other place in town.

Too bad

We booked 2 rooms via Expedia, 2 months in advance. We knew it wouldn't be 5 star, but it was much worse than expected. The bedroom was clean and conformtable, but the bathroom was horrible. The shower was so disgusting that I wouldn't even use it.

The stuff is so high and it was so icy out that I am not a disabled person but I feared that I was going to fall and hurt myself or break a leg cuz the stuff is so high up into the room then they don't even bother to offer you coffee or breakfast or even a wake up call for that matter this is a piss poor place to stay do not stay here it's expensive it was like $77 by the time all said and done and I could have stayed at a cheaper place that would offer all sorts of stuff and the internet did not work so I would not stay here again if my life depended on it

I stayed for 5 days as the other hotels were full.
Found 4 ticks crawling on the wall, one each different day, they were flat, therefore hungry. AC was noisy and the carpet dirty.  Do not stay there unless you don't mind getting in bed with these disgusting ticks 
Poor hygiene and no pest control at all. Parking for some rooms is difficult as you have to back up all the way to leave.

Room was dirty, toilet still had dirt on it. Had to request for the room to be cleaned again. Had one towel which had a whole in it. The showers are perfect for people that are 3ft tall. The owners live at the hotel and you could smell everything they were cooking in by the front desk. Paid 65 bucks for a room that should have been 45 bucks but owner was not willing to lower the price according to what Priceline was showing. Room is definitely not worth 65 bucks. Oh and watch where you walk, there's soft spots with in the floor, when you are on the top floor.

Absolately Disgusting!

in winter outside temp was 27 and opened  room  no heat on  very cold  had to put clothes on to sleep.  Bed had sheets and blankets with holes.  Tv didn't work.  Desk would not help us with anything.  Joke for a breakfast.  would not recommend this place to anyone  couldn't take a shower because of the cold room.  fee for the small dog was alot.  more than we have ever paid.  wasn't worth the fee for the room

do not stay here

Was driving across the country with my Dad and found this place because every other place was full. Room was $89 which was as much as the decent hotels, before going into the room we asked where we could get some food close by and went and ate and came back and when we walked into the room we were hit by an overpowering oder! The carpet was stained and not vacuumed, the shower had mold in it, the AC made the room smell even worse when we turned it on, the light switches were filthy, the beds had hair in them and were hard as a rock. I’m not super worried about motels being super nice and up to date as long as they are clean but this place was an absolute disgrace...
Even worse then the room was the desk worker. When checking in he wouldn’t even look at us cause he was on his phone and then when we went to tell him we wanted a refund he came unglued telling us we were liars and to picky and would not give us a refund because we had been in the room for a hour even though he was the one the told us where to go to eat. The only way we got a refund was because we began to call the police department and as soon as we told him that he started saying “no police no police “ but still didn’t want to give us a refund because he wanted to inspected the room with us and my Dad told him we’re gonna have the Sheriff inspect it with us too and he again said “no police” and as still tried charging 20 dollars for a refund fee until we again had to bring up calling the police and then he dropped the fee. As he was doing the refund he called us every swear and dirty word you could think of, and then as we left he came out and glared at us as we drove off. Still is disbelief how anyone could run a business of any kind THIS badly!
